Floors could have been cleaned better
Very helpful staff. I had a problem whereas the booking company had booked us in twice. The staff were very understanding and sorted everything out for us without fuss. I will definitely suggest to my friends that they stay at the Ramada.
Staff at Reception were all efficient, friendly and welcoming.Room was fine (bed was comfortable and everything in the room worked).
Staff in the Restaurant (evening meal) were generally unsmiling and not especially attentive. The food was alright, but looked a bit "tired" when presented.
Pretty big rooms. Clean and well maintained. Good breakfast
Not close to anything if you need to buy something or just want to see some stores be prepared to walk or catch a bus.
posh shower luxurious feel
beds really soft and unconfortable requested sofa beds but got a single and there were only one of the 4 rooms i booked on the system - staffs attitude re this was less than desirable arguing wiht me when i had the booking requests and a friend was punched by a drunk guest for no apparent reason but the drunk was allowed back in the hotel but he wasnt as he had a split lip and had to spendd £50 on a taxi home at 3am
Given the spaceous room, the bed was small, a kingsize would have been perfect
most things were good, bathroom 100% as i deal with showers for a living, TV could have had a music channel,
bed was not very good as ive now got a bad back since sleeping on it for one night, but value for money for an odd night i'll live with it
The staff were friendly and efficient. The bar is open 24 hours. The internet access is free and fast The hotel is well maintained with modern facilities.
No wireless in the room. Not a problem with a laptop but not ideal for tablets - there is wireless access in public areas though and most tablets have their own data these days so not a big issue.
Price was good. Easy to find near M6
Food, evening meal expensive for what it was., however breakfast was good
Convenient for the office I visit. Every room is the same so no surprises as to the facilities to expect.
Dinner: there are many tables in the restaurant and only 4 were occupied when I asked for a table, but was told I had to wait 40 minutes until the kitchen could serve me. This is the second time that has happened to me whole staying there. I can only surmise that they run a skeleton crew and force their customers to eat when it suits the hotel rather than have decent service. My order was then messed up when they served my starter to another customer and realised too late so it then took 40 minutes for my starter to arrive. Breakfast is poor unless you wanted cooked breakfast, and even the fried eggs are rock solid. I am a director for a local company and will recommending to all of my colleagues not to stay here.
Stayed here a few times. Won't be any more. Rooms are shabby and beds are so uncomfortable Premier inn far superior
location easy to get to from motorway, nice modern hotel, Dinner in the restaurant was very good and the young man serving us was excellent.
Breakfast was not good at all,the cooked stuff looked like it had been lying there for sometime.
Generally good hotel
Breakfast was excellent. The staff were polite and very helpful.
Wasn't keen on the room layout. A bit basic. Bed was small and no bin in the room.
Nice small restaurant and bar.
Beds need to be king size. Wifi needs to be in the bedrooms as well as the public areas.
lack of milk for coffee, finding the hotel at a late hour
Nice and clean
As you can see above, no wifi!!! It is 2014 and its a new hotel! . Just not good enough .
Good location on the edge of town, parking of an evening good, but daytime fills up with the Uni accross the road. A very cheap basic hotel
Small double beds are a joke. Half bathroom lights not working. Room lights are very dim, unable to read. Drinks at bar are expensive. We complained & were moved rooms, shower ran very hot then cold, thermostat NBG. We understand the hotel has recently been taken over by IBIS- ACCOR. This could be a good hotel with the right staff & a lot of training
Breakfast was very very poor , the food tasted like it had been re heated a dozen times and was rock hard .
Hot water in the shower was variable - and the 'wet room' design made for a messy wet bathroom floor. I don't wish to be penalised for not paying for breakfast in advance - I was staying for a week, and didn't know if I would want breakfast every day. On the one day I did decide to have breakfast I was refused entry because I didn't have a breakfast token and hadn't brought cash with me from my room. It is a noisy location near the ring road, which doesn't let up all night.
Reasonable pricing, location was good in proximity and comfortable room.
we booked on line which was very easy, when we checked in we was told there was a murder mystery night on, which didn't bother us until we came back to have a drink in the bar, the noise was not good so we went to bed. the bed is very small and very uncomfortable, I was woken up several times with noise coming from the hotel, the worst time was when a couple decided to have an argument at 2 in the morning, I have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions and will not be staying here again.
Helpful reception staff.
Extractor fans no longer seem to work in the bathrooms & my first room smelled terrible. Receptionist moved me to a nearby room without hesitation and whilst he second room was better it did smell of fried food.
The room was too hot even though radiators were off and the Window was open.
Beautifully designed bathroom
