Ramada Encore Haydock  

Did what it said on the label. Due to circumstances we had to book the Ramada for the evening. We arrived late and didn't ask for / use any facilities other than the bar so defaulted this to a fair rating. Room was basic and clean. You could hear the traffic from the road but it wasn't intrusive.Comfort was average but the price was good. You pays your money you takes your......

We had to wait 3-4 mins for someone to meet us in reception - but we did arrive late.

Very clean, modern hotel. Check-in trouble free and the room was nice. Shower was great! Breakfast quick and easy.

Double bed too small - should have been queen size minimum.

Television buzzed on BBC2 and some standard channels were not available.

Efficient reception and breakfast was good value (inclusive) Fairly quiet.

It seemed that the kitchen was unable to cope with a party of 10 people and so my dessert was delayed to a point where I could wait no longer and cancelled it. The duty manager was quite off hand - customer service here apart from receptionist and one waitress was very poor. You advertise free wi fi but it really doesn't work, so my advice? Take down the sign that offers free wi fi.

There were a couple of problems one was the breakfast which was self service and was served from 7am - 10-30am but you had to wait not due to the fact there was a constant queue but that there was never enough food put out ie my husband son and daughter -in-law had no eggs beans or mushrooms due to the fact that as they brought them out they went, had they had a larger area to display the hot food people would not have had to wait. The other problem was for an hotel of that size the dining room was a bit in the small size. However we would return once more to see if things have improved as we'd got tickets for Haydock Races

Clean rooms, lovely bathroom.

Only bbc 1 and bbc 2 channels were available other channels did not work. Only 2 tea bags so could not have tea at night and in the morning. No hot chocolate sachets and no biscuits.

Large room. Very clean. Wet room style shower which was superb. Good wifi facilites. Large comfy bed. Great parking.

I nearly missed the hotel direction signage (Small brown sign) and almost ended up on the one way Liverpool route. It would be helpful if it was made larger and placed in a better position.

despite e mailing to ask for a quiet room and the hotel half empty we were put opposite the noisiest family we have ever came across children left to run amok up and down the corridor till late at night and from 7.30am next day - cheers for thinking about us - NOT !!! terrible stay really

Staff were very friendly and the room was light, airy and comfortable. Loved the shower.

Bits of the hotel have started to look a bit shabby - needed a lick of paint. TV needed re-tuning, not all channels were working. Forgot to tell staff.

the room was so small that even if you wanted to, you couldnt swing a cat, no towels in the room... no tea or coffee in room. We barely slept because its on a major dual carriageway and we felt like we would have slept better if we had gone camping at heathrow airports runway 2...

Room was clean tidy and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

The staff were very helpful. The hotel is within easy access of the M6 with ample free car parking. The breakfast is very good with a good choice. I will be back there next year.

I had booked this hotel on booking.com for a few of my colleagues and used our company credit card for payment when they arrived but when they arrived they had to pay with there own money baring in mind that they had the company credit card details for payment. I wasnt happy with this atall because it has caused us problems with our accounts department to pay out such a large amout of money to one of our employees.
