Easy, no-nonsense. Good parking.

Could not log onto email on my iPad in the room, and could not make it log on in public areas lthough staff supplied me with login details.

The friendly and helpful staff.

We had to sort out the sheets/cover on the bed as it was not comfortable.

Shower area. I would have been happier if I had flip flops on. Floor looked dirty. Bottle of shampoo/body wash didn't work. Good job I took some with me.

Bed was small, bathroom was cold wet room. Said to be 0.8 from races was actually about 5 mins in a taxi

i loved the modern design particularly the bathroom. the rooms are very light and airy and clean lines.

the only thing was the t.v need to upgrade to digital for more selection of channels

as we are regular visitors i can only repeat that we are quite happy with our stays

The Ramada Encore is a very nice hotel and I have stayed there many times. The rooms are clean, the food is good, the service is great and the staff have always been friendly. It is definitely a business person type of hotel but I will keep staying there when I am in the area.

The wifi service is not great. Unfortunately it is not available in the rooms so you have to relocate to the public area. This is a pain if you wish to work in private. I believe this will be changing soon though. The TV in the rooms should be a lot better as well especially with the price of televisions having dropped so much now.

The lady at the reception was very helpfull.

Getting to the hotel from the main road.

we like the location as we find it convenient for our requirements when visiting st helens. also the staff are friendly and not overbearing. the breakfast is very good even when a lot of people staying at hotel

Lock in door didn't work, two coach parties meant we had to eat early or late or go out to dinner, bed too small

The location was good, the staff were wonderful, especially the lady at the front desk, who was super helpful.

The bedroom! We wanted to stay at this hotel for 6 nights but checked out after one night. Why? Well because this hotel has been for business people who stay a single night only. We had a double bedroom which was uber modern in design. There were no wardrobes, only a pole in the room with 3 hangers. There were no bedside drawers, just open shelves. There were no drawers in the room just more open shelving. No where at all to put clothes!!! No where to hide your belongings out of site in the room. Not what we wanted for a six night stay, so we left. Went to near by Holiday Inn which was more traditional and much better for our needs.

Generally modern feel, parking, decent enough shower heat/power, no mould, kettle, hairdryer, gave me a room away from road when asked, lift to floors, not shabby, clean, tv and remote worked, phone worked, good curtains to block out the light, spacious enough, sofa in room. Didnt try for gym but would have been interested in trying the place they were affiliated with though im not sure if a car would have been needed (I had none). Liked the wooden floor in the room. That and furniture were in great condition.

Shower had no door, flooded floor, sink had strange plug which was closed and wouldnt drain, no immediately visible way to open it (turned out I had to press it down to get it to pop up). No toilet brush. Called reception to ask about these things and no one answered. Very bad lighting in bathroom and room, even side lights were led like bad lift lights, wouldnt recommend for anyone wanting romance lol., Some scum around sink, couldnt get shower to be very hot but wasnt cold. Bed had duvet firmly tucked under and no extra blankets, radiator didnt turn on and room felt slightly chilly during night. Considering cost and pics, when entering hotel was surprised at wooden floor being so beaten looking and staff surprisingly not as interested/professional/available as I would have expected. Extra towels not in bathroom so if you needed more had to step into cold room to get it. Overall not bad but considering cost and pictures was expecting more. Didnt try the breakfast and I think £7 is too much anyway. Minor point, would love to see vegan/non-allergy milk for teas in hotels and def a little snack wouldnt go amiss. £7 from nearest train station in a taxi (newton le willows).

The hotel was nice and clean ,staff very helpful , the room was nice size including the bathroom , I'm a very fussy ,and this hotel didn't disappoint me , and realy good value for money , hot and cold breakfast very good also , I've booked again

Entirely met our need as a convenient stop over when heading further south. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful, especially waitress at breakfast. Breakfast selectopn was excellent and very fresh and well presented. altogether excellent value for money.
