Cheap, comfortable, easy to get to. The hotel is new so everything seemed clean & looked nice. The smell in the bathroom was a little off putting... room 151. The laminate / wooden floor was not very welcoming as a bedroom... I prefer carpet. |

The hotel was obviously recently built and so felt lovely and fresh. The staff were extremely courteous - all guests being referred to as 'Sir' or 'Madam'. There was a Christmas party being held there on the 2nd night of my stay which took over the whole bar/restaurant area, and the thoughtful receptionist booked me into a room as far away from the party as possible, and I was not disturbed by it at all! The breakfasts were good - a wide selection of hot and cold food, and I had one evening meal there from the Specials menu - which was better than meals I have eaten in more expensive hotels! The hotel is on the river Orwell, and I would like to return in summer to take advantage of the terrace overlooking the riverside. The only negative I can think of was listed in the hotel information - limited parking spaces - I understand there are 30 spaces for a 150 bed hotel, so make sure you arrive early in order to get a space. There did seem to be places to leave your car in the surrounding new-build riverside apartment complexes though, which appeared to be safe. |

The staff were so helpful and friendly especially the girl who was on reception duty. She was exceptional - nothing was too much for her. The hotel was very clean and bright. I was lucky I managed to park but was worried as I am a woman on my own with children and didn't fancy walking around in the dark away from the hotel |

Breakfast was really good. Room was nice. Good service. Working internet in every room would be a big plus (free one). Heater / place to dry clothes...since it is often "a bit" rainy in England. |

Nothing I'm sorry to say. The food was quite awful - processed, microwaved and poor quality. The price was outrageous - £15.00 for fish and chips with inedible mushy peas. The "restaurant" area had all the appeal of an industrial canteen. I discovered after I had sat down and waited for 10 minutes that I had to order my meal at the bar. The pillows were foam filled and the lavatory paper was so thin and cheap as to be useless. This was a very poor value for money hotel. |

Comfortable bed and pleasant room. Bathroom equipped as necessary. Helpful staff on reception especially Tabby(?). Food is poor and not value for money. Needed to speak to reception to have kitchen extractor fan switched off as it was disturbing my sleep. |
