The location was good and the staff were friendly. When I checked in, I asked for a quiet room and was given a room next to a noisy cupboard where the extrator system was. Therefore I had to change the room. However, the new room given did not have any internet access and the heating sytem was not working, so again I had to change room. When I went to have a shower in the evening, the bathroom got 'flooded' as the water was drained very, very slowly. I had to mop up all the water after my shower, which was ridiculous... As the water went into the corridor as well!

The morning staff seem very nice and polite. The hotel itself is in good location but the room quality is very poor.I Stayed in room number 221,the bathroom is disgusting, the fan is broken, the soap holders are broken and after shower the bathroom as well as the room is filled with mist or smoke due to lack of proper ventilation. I recommend you down grade this particular hotel to two star from its current three star status. Its not malice just visit this hotel and check the bathroom of room 221 and you would recommend the same. Many thanks James Severns

The hotel was in a good location for shops and restaurants I was even given some discount vouchers for a few local eateries with as much 20% discount on a couple of restaurants, The staff were friendly and the room was clean and well appointed and the best thing was that I even managed to book a smoking room which is very unusual for hotels these days.

The price was reasonable but we stayed at travelodge the night before for £12 and thoght there was very little difference in the rooms. 10 am checkout too early. Prices of drinks in bar ridiculously high.

The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Location is perfect for shopping. The hotel is great value for money. We were given half price breakfast as well, which was also great value. Two other couples were also given the same offer. This offer was very appreciated from all six of us,and stopped us going accross the road to wetherspoons. Thankyou. There was no negatives at all to remark on.Welldone.

Thankfully it was only for the one night. I didn't like rooms, we saw three! The bathroom was dirty and the beds are uncomfortable with stained sheets.

There was nothing I liked about Ramada Encore on this visit as I had pre- booked a double room only to find we had been given a twin room. When questioning the receptionist about this she said it was the computer that allocated the room and not the staff. The intriguing question is, why was the pre-printed ticket allocated a double room and then crossed out and then allocated a twin room. Also, when checking in the receptionist advised our account was fully paid yet when checking out the receptionist advised we needed to pay as the card we used when pre- booking had been declined. Upon checking the invoice on arrival at home we discovered that we had been given another room's account and now we are waiting for a refund of the second payment. We were also advised that when pre-booking it is not guaranteed that you are given what you have asked for. All in all, we shall not be recommending the hotel to any friends or family and shall not be using it again.

Modern hotel in good central location, only a 5 minute walk from the main shopping area. Adjacent parking in secure area for extra £10 per 24 hours is good value considering local prices of parking. Restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Good quality bathroom and furnishings, unusual to have a proper sofa in your room. In all a great hotel for the price and location and I would stay again. Breakfast seems expensive for £10 each, plenty of eateries in nearby shopping centre for alot cheaper so we didn't bother.

We found a very reasonably priced room through booking.com at the last minute, and thought the room itself was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. As we were staying on New Year's Eve, the hotel had decided to check everyone's names and room numbers as they returned late at night, to ensure that there were not more people in rooms than had booked etc. This is fine, and probably a good idea on such a busy night, but it also meant that when we returned we were faced with hotel staff in an argument with a group of visitors about the number of guests in their room. Perhaps if the hotel had pre-warned guests about this policy, they would not have tried to cheat the system and it would have been a more peaceful night for all involved!

Friendlyness and efficiency of the staff. Dealt with booking in and any issues quickly. The room felt a little "unfinished". Lacking in some storage options - drawers. The room had no welcome pack or details about the area

The location and cleanliness of the room. I booked two double rooms or twin rooms and called to request double rooms and was told that would be fine however I ended up with two twin rooms. Also, we were questioned excessively upon our return to the hotel after an evening out. My key wasn't readily accessible and instead of checking my reservation on the system I was made to empty the contents of my bag in a reception area full of people which was quiet embarrassing.

The hotel was in great location. Room and staff were nice. Really nice view from The Hub too. Room wasnt very warm. Floor boards instead of carpet made it cold. The entrance is down a side street which I didnt like. Parking is expensive and me personally think if your a guest of the hotel you should get free car park..

Checking out. Hotel did not advise anyone booked that for a 1 mile radius around hotel all access roads were closed due to a Red Bull event. We arrived in freezing weather with 3 tired children in the car and found we could not even get parked close to carry bags, the hotel Manager claimes all customers were called to advise about an event causing the rd to close, but four other people in reception checking in did not seem to get a call either.Body fluids all over tub chair in daughters room, pull out sofa bed broken and could not even be used to sit on and travel cot provided was covered in another childs fresh vomit. Bathrooms filthy with toothpaste literally everywhere, red hair in my daughters bed, a lot of it. Hotel facilities closed to residents due to a private function and room service only avail after 10pm so had to leave hotel at 8pm with a 9 month old baby, a 3 year old and a 13 year old to go in search of dinner (again no prior warning). Noise of other residents coming back hammered or having sex echoing through the hotel from 1am - 5am. None of us got any sleep. Have used this hotel maybe 14 times in the past with no problems, but will definatley never stay again or even recommend it to a hen/stag party. It's filthy.
