Miriam the receptionist was nothing short of wonderful. The steak we had in the restaurant would have been better suited to re- sole a shoe (yes that tough). The bedroom duvet was so thin it was almost see through and the double bed was the smallest I had ever seen.

The location is advertised on some hotel websites as two minutes from the train station and airport, my friend and I soon discovered this was not the case and had to walk through an industrial park at 10 o'clock at night which was far from ideal.

Nice hotel. With a good bar and restaurant. Rooms are a little on the small side and have hard type floors that shows all the discarded hair!! Car park is a joke and jammed packed. Must be full of cars left by people on holiday. Struggled to get a space every day.

Nice, quiet, comfortable and good location however... Dusty shelves and tv, a sign of purpule lipstick on a mug, still even afte cleaning!! Also leaflets lying on the desk, advertising other Ramada hotels has been completely covered in dust!!!! Not the best way of promotion!!!!

Nice modern room and very clean & tidy guest areas. Very poor choice of enterrtainment (16 tv channels? Come on, you shouldn't be counting radio channels and it seems even Ch5 is too much to ask ! All Freeview channels should be available at least). Also the wired internet in my room wasn't working. Most serious of all, despite paying for my meals in the restaurant on both nights I stayed at the Ramada, on the first night I was telephoned in my room and asked to return to the restaurant to pay (again), on the second night the food bill was incorrectly added to my room bill and I was asked to pay again when checking out.... Not acceptable!

Near to the nec, 10 minute walk. Clean, comfortable, not as noisy as expected bearing in mind the proximity to the airport. Receptionist helpful, attentive and welcoming. Would have preferred carpet in the room rather than laminate but for cost of room and facilities, still acceptable.

The location and cleanliness was exellent. However, as a result of my recent experience, I would not recommend Ramada at this time Although I had full booking confirmation details available, it took 20- 25 minutes to check in with no apology for this unacceptable delay. The receptionist was rude and incompetent. I booked online on the day of my stay, but it had not been processed. After numerous questions and calls she realised this error but made me feel as though it was my fault. This ruined my stay as I do not feel I received value for money in terms of customer experience.

The bathrooms were stylish as were the bedrooms Although there was free broadband in the guest bedrooms, it was incredibly slow and labourious to work with. As a light sleeper, i had asked for a quiet room away from any doors or elevators and I was located in a room adjacent to the corridor door which did not have a soft close, which kept me awake as it kept banging each time someone passed through. Also it was very difficult to find, having got lost twice (via sat nav), I had to ask for directions from an NEC gatehouse man, who gave the impression this regularly happened. Finally the staff were unwelcoming.
