Location of hotel is ideal for the Sage, Baltic and Newcastle just a short walk into the centre. The food in the hotel is very good and reasonably priced.
The fact that after booking the superior package I still had to pay for the car park probably a good idea to include in package
To soft bed like for me
Enjoyed the stay, rooms modern, clean and tidy and staff great.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They gave advice on places to go to in Newcastle and where to stay clear of.
There was a smell of urine coming from the drain in the shower which was not caused by our room.
The hotel is in a convenient location - just a short walk away from the river and a little further to the centre of Newcastle. The hotel is very close to the city-link yellow buses if the uphill walk into town is too strenuous. There are car parking facilities on site which is a bonus when you are so close to the city. A quiet nights sleep was much appreciated!
A bottle of complimentary water would have been much appreciated.
It wasn't to far away from the locations we had to go. ideal for the night we stayed. Staff friendly and courtious
The proximity to Newcastle quayside
Price - Quality, 20min walk from shops etc.
Noisy (drunk) people running on hallway from 2-4am with many noise banging on the door. Bed mattrasses where sacked.
Friendly, efficient staff, very welcoming at this hotel. High standard of cleanliness and a reasonable menu on offer. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice hotel, lively but not rowdy.
Was a bit out the way. Still within walking distance of pubs/clubs.
Good location Friendly staff Clean and comfy room
everything was just what we wanted
room was just a bit cold
- Rooms were excellent. Clean and tidy. - The little heater can be turned on/off, and it really warmed up the room nicely - Had breakfast and that was lovely and so was the evening meal - Staff really friendly and down to earth.
- not enough milk in the room for us yorkshire folk! - No issues with anything. Really enjoyed the stay.
On site food was excellent.
Bedroom was a bit cold and heater took a while to warm it. Wooden floors make colder.
Location right next to the Baltic and the Sage. Walking disrance to Newcastle. Lovely friendly reception Staff. Colour of decor in bedroom. Comfy bed. Bit creaky though.
Parking, having to pay for it and only just getting a space. Laminated floor in the bedroom, room felt cold. No heating in the bathroom. No chair under the desk so had to dry my hair the other side of the room where there was no mirror. Internet very poor in 525. If it's important to you, sit in reception area.
Room was clean, quiet and parking good
The room was freezing when we arrived and didn't get much warmer with the heater on. Twin beds when bid double (they did sort that out) bed really uncomfortable and quilt really thin was cold all night.
Location and helpful staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with good facilities. Hotel centrally situated within easy reach of the city centre and Tyne bridges.
The bed was uncomfortable, too soft and not supportive. The breakfast was ok but there could have been more choice and it is quite expensive. Drinks at the bar very expensive.
Location was good just beside the Millenium Bridge. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was well cooked but a lack of choice I felt. Food items crammed in too small a space which meant queues and lack of choice - just not sufficient for amount of guests it caters for. Lot of grumbling from guests especially as insufficient staff constantly running back and fore for cups, cutlery and extra food etc. Beds were certainly twin, no bigger and bottom sheet not big enough to tuck in so kept gathering underneath making it uncomfortable. Not in favour of wooden floors in bedroom but that is purely personal choice.
Comfy bed, super helpful staff, controllable heater in the room, real (not water saving) shower in wet room, endless tea, coffee and milk supplies, free wifi, reasonable price, car park available, very close to The Sage.
Vegetarian options on menu and at breakfast woeful, breakfast stops at 10am, tiny vestigial clothes storage space - apart from two small hanging rails and one tiny drawer (which was full of a hairdryer) on a unit, there was nowhere to put clothing at all, not even space to put a case, car park fills up very quickly.
I arrived on tues night, went to the bar only to be told that we wer so busy at the weekend that we have no draught beer left or any wine .
Hotel was clean and modern, rooms where nice.
Comfortable Room, good variety of breakfast. Easy walking distance for Newcastle.
