The staff were very good - friendly & efficient. My room smelt of toilet chemicals. The bed was uncomfortable & the pillows were inadequate, so I didn't get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was very poor - little fruit, cheap juice, one variety of milk.

The shower The staff were very friendly and knowlegable. Location for ease of access to the motorway. The air con wasn't too good. When opening the window there is quite a bit of noise from the industrial estate - especially the generator which could be heard all night!

Enjoyed the free Internet at lounge and full English breakfast. However, the cooked breafask could do with a bit of taste. On the whole I found Encore very good and modern. Complained about a guest who kept his sports car with deep exhaust running behind the rooms around 6am for more than 30mins without going anywhere. Hope management does something about it.

Simple, clean, relatively newly built hotel on office park. Nothing particularly nearby other that the offices - that could be good / bad depending on your perspective... Booking.com description says "rooms with free wifi". This is not true, there's wired internet [which makes a difference for mobiel devices] at £10/day. Staff seemedn to feel this was booking.com's fault, though I'd assume the description came from someone at Ramada originally. £10/Day for internet at £10/ breakfast are very high charges in this market - I've used many comparable hotesl where both are included at this room price.

Very clean room, requested a quiet room and was given a very quiet room overlooking the car park. Check-in and out was very easy. Good value for money for a weekend stay. As I only slept there and didn't have any meals it is not appropriate for me to comment on any other aspect. Slight smell of urine round toilet. Location is a bit desolate, but suited me as I was visiting family nearby.

Very clean, welcoming entrance and good size rooms. For some reason we were given a disabled room with disabled toilet facilities, there was also an issue with the television some channels were not working and this wasn't resolved during our stay. There was also what looked like a corporate event happening on the night so the whole of the restaurant was reserved meaning we had to find somewhere to eat, it would have been beneficial if we're told of this when booking.

The price of the rooms was reasonable. The room was clean on arrival and was cleaned daily. however, having stayed here previously - this time the room was not as nice/modern as on our previous stays. Most of the young staff were very nice and went out of their way to be friendly. The room price was good but breakfast was expensive. The poor quality of the restaurant in food preparation - a burger meal had to be sent back as the wrapper was still on the burger despite it being cooked. A second meal was provided only to have the same issue. At this point the meal was declined. Despite asking for quiet rooms - we were placed on the first floor facing the front of the hotel - on our first night a coach was parked directly beneath the window which woke us up very early as it started the engine and left it running! There is a factory nearby with very loud extraction fans which can be noisy when at the front of the hotel - if you like to have the window open - like us. Finally, the more senior male receptionist/duty manager was not particularly pleasant - and I am still waiting for a copy of my final bill which I asked him to email to me as their printer wasn't working!

Rooms clean and comfortable Staff friendly and welcoming Overall - overpriced. Bar prices fiendish (higher than London) Food OK, but dessert very, small, disappointing and overpriced. Breakfast staff 'over enthusiastic' - took away my paper and remains of breakfast when i'd only gone to get a refill of coffee. Breakfast selection - for £10 I expect to be able to get a decent decaff coffee - not just a sachet of instant. Processes lack - was automatically charged to card I booked with rather than the one I swiped for the 'extras' Then took some time to refund incorrectly charged card and pay with correct card - good job I wasn't in a hurry!

freindly staff, good location for business Internet access in room was by cable and only 30 mins free - wi-fi in bar was free, obviously this is done so you will spend money in the bar. Evening meal was of very poor quality and not value for money. I paid £5.65 for 6 button mushrooms on toast :(. Steak had absolutely no flavour, very very bland but at least I didnt eat in my room at an additional charge of £5 !!! I tried to pay cash for a glass of wine and was informed they had "no change" even before I had offered my money. This is obviously to get people to put drinks on the room at your companies expense, if I choose not to do this I should have the choice. I travel a lot on business all on expenses, but still I expect value for money, and not to be mugged.

Sheets not clean had hairs and blood stain on. We did not realise this until midnight just as we were going to bed as we had to rush back out after checking in to meet friends for dinner. It took half an hour to get through to someone at reception. We were given another room but this meant moving all our things late at night which we were not very happy about. The following morning we rang for a slightly later check out. We were advised this was only available at an extra charge. We explained the situation from the night before asking for just an hour longer for our inconvenience. The staff member was not understanding and offered no apology. We didn't think an apology or some compensation for the hassle was much to ask! We were made to feel it was our fault for not checking the bed sheets earlier on that evening!!
