The staff were welcoming and polite Its proximity to clubs and pubs which made the street outside noisy on Saturday night and some of the clubbers stayed at the hotel disturbing us in the middle of the night |

Handy location. Staff very offhand. Breakfast appalling - stale croissants, terrible coffee. Car park some way from hotel - annoying when you arrive late and tired. |

It was clean, staff were friendly and always present at the reception desk and the location was as advertised. The breakfast choice was very limited - continential usually includes cold meats and cheese - and the croissants were hard and stale. |

The area was convenient for site seeing in York , close to the shops and in easy reach of the many eating places. The lack of hotel parking. |

The hotel was ok but we ended up paying for films we did not watch as we could not get them to work, there was no phone in the room to call reception to tell them we were having problems and we were in nightwear so could not go down to reception. |

The room was comfortable and the hotel was well situated in York. The breakfast room staff where undermanned for the number of guests requiring breakfast. They did there best. |

Staff were very helpful, finding a requested extra pillow and hairdryer and delivering them straight to the room. It's a really good location, very near the river and city centre. Continental breakfast was good, considering it was inclusive for the four of us. Good value for money. Quite decent, new fixtures and fittings. Having to make up our own sofa bed for the children, which included opening it up in a tight space and manoeuvring it to fit in. |

Very easy, self-service orientated hotel. You could just slot in and everything was logical, a bit like an American hotel. Loved the power shower bathroom. Split in glass sink in bathroom, style over substance issue. Imagine the same in every room given the tea/coffee kettle. |

It's in the city of York The rooms are extremely noisy because of the laminate flooring. Staff were not keen to ask other guests to keep the noise down....even after 11pm. Rooms were not cleaned properly especially with a vacuum cleaner or floor mop. Rooms were not fully stocked; we had to ask for soap on our 1st day, for the shower. There were no teaspoons. Annoying!! |

Nice central location surrounded by good shops and other facilites, nice room and facilities, warm, quite clean and tidy. Breakfast facilites not big enough for number of guests, choice not great and had to wait for a table to become available and all in a cramped room. |

It was close to the city centre so going out for a meal was easy in the evening and good for the shops the next day. We have stayed at the hotelbefore and found this time the bed and bedding left a lot to be desired. Duvet was too thin and as were not able to run the air conditioning as it roasted then froze us alterately and was very noisy us when it was on. |

We really liked the selection at breakfast. The bar relatively small but handy if you dont want to tackle the crowds in the pubs. Rooms very clean and ample for a family on a short stay. Laminate floor not a good idea...really could do with carpets. |
