Everything,very expensive for this hotel
At breakfast the first morning a very pleasant lady meet us at the front of the restaurant and showed us to a table for 2. However the 2nd morning an older woman just pointed from the desk and said "sit at any of those tables set for 2" very impersonal.
The smell of chlorine from the pool could be smelled in the lift on the 6 th floor. Most people are now aware that the stronger the smell the dirtier the pool. We did not use the spa because of this.
Comfortable bed and room and wifi.
Bathroom needs updating.hallways also need refurbishing. Breakfast was very poor. Very little fruit and no one asked if we would like anything cooked from the kitchen or if we wanted tea or coffee. Premium inn 10 times better.
Everything within the hotel
Having to pay for carpark it's digracefull that a resident has to pay build it into room price puts us off from coming back also noise from disco next to hotel After midnight
Foyer was good, reception staff really helpful. Will use hotel again. Hotel location was great.
Bathroom could be better, shower-head hanging off the wall, damp smell and shelving was crumbling. Decor rather dated.
The staff were friendly and welcoming , lovely room with a very comfy bed , and also extra towels and pillows . Also the housekeeping staff were very friendly and smiley , and even helped us take stuff up to the room , even though that is not something I expect to come under their remit.
The toilet had a slight crack in it
Hotel is very handy for town centre and near golf courses. Staff were very friendly.
Bed wasn't that comfortable.
Can't think of a single thing we liked about this hotel
1st room had to be changed as it was a disgrace, broken shower, bits falling of the furniture etc. Housekeeping was very poor every day, standards are very low and I think this is reflected throughout the hotel. Breakfast food was of very poor quality and we didn't bother after the 1st day. parking was really difficult every day, location is very noisy and goes on for hours through the night. all in all a terrible place, will never return.
Services all fine
Parking too small.
Tired décor Dripping tap Old slow TV system
Location, general atmosphere, helpful friendly staff
Found it difficult to sleep due to noise from lift shaft [room 615], none of the treatments avaliable. ie massage, liesure suite facilities were good, but a bit on the dowdy side, could do with freshening up.
Paid 100 punds for the car park Loud seaguls
There was a massage facility to sort out my muscles after a long drive. This helped give me a great nights rest. The food was excellent value and quality. (The sticky toffee was brilliant!)
Location was excellent staff very friendly
Close to station, convenient car park
Everything you want in the room. Free parking as it was in the centre of the town. Good for a golfing holiday.
Th.e hotel was a bit dated and requires refurbished
Don't recommend anyone to get room service. Certainly not worth the money. Rooms were very drafty and noisy because of the wind. Pool is very small but was quiet so was not bad for us but if it was busy it would have been awful.
The dinner menu was very limited and also very expensive.
Very friendly and clean
Bar prices bit steep
Central location, friendly staff, great facilities
Nighttime parking arrangements seemed a little confusing regarding where to park and where to pay etcetera.
Nice Clean and comfortable hotel will definately return again to the Mercure Hotel.
Location was excellent and convenient for buses Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Evening meal cooked to order was very good.
Breakfast was poor. No scrambled eggs, cold meats or cheese as described in menu! Coffee and tea a bit of a lottery. Definitely not worth the price.
The leisure facilities were good and the staff all had excellent service
Breakfast was expensive and meals a bit expensive
