Good facilities for a business stay, good gym and friendly staff.

Beds are very hard, rooms are hot with no temp control. Room doors do not seal hence hall lighting cannot be blocked out at night. These rooms need modernising.

Noise from events could be heard through rooms and people leaving events were very noisy outside the building. Money was taken as a pre payment for security, then we were charged for breakfast aswell and the prepayment money not released. This has taken alot if time to sort out and almost a week later has not been refunded

Room smelt of paint, was offered a free upgrade then charged £20 slightly confusing but all you get is a paper and two extra coffee's , not good value...

Rooms in need of a little upgrading, poor use of original mansion building with no original features and a "cold" decor.

Great Location, quiet, classy

Postcode taking you to the wrong street, signage required to identify the entrance, room overlooked a roof and rubbish bins, uncomfortable mattress. Room small but functional (except the bath which was too small) - toilet seat broken.

I had to pay upfront, which is not a customer friendly policy and the price did not include breakfast. I missed this piece of information when booking and feel that the room was overpriced without breakfast, especially given its location.

The Hotel is close to my family for our regular visits.We have tried other Hotels in the area and find the Mercure at Bolton fits the bill re-guarding cleanliness, friendly, nothing too much trouble and the staff very helpful. Value for money when looking out for your very good deals.

The bedroom in the road side was a bit noisy because of the traffic

Bar area was comfortable with friendly staff. Food was to a good standard.

The bedroom was to a poor standard, with springs in the matress causing discomfort. The bathroom needed refurbishing, generally looking tired with the wash basin having a crack through it and an untidy appearance throughout. When reception staff were unconcerned about the issues raised.

we live locally and due to the electric failing at home we checked in for 1 night. we liked it that much we joined last night for the gym sauna etc. lovely place.

The situation on the A6. The food was very good. The room was pleasant. Free WIFI in the lounge.

Bed urgently needed replacing in room we were allocated . Poor nights sleep..mattress springs so badly worn they made a noise with every movement and could be felt on your back etc. Advised on reception room is due for refurbishing.

The rooms were clean and very large. Nice in room amenities. Lovely pool area. Location excellent for our needs.

Friendly, helpful staff. But ... Very good breakfast. Warm, clean, seemed well maintained.

...Accents of a couple of the foreign staff were a little hard to understand. Air in the bedroom radiator making a noise. Leaking shower mixer valve caused a big puddle on the bathroom floor. Bar prices high.

Relaxation and comfort, nice bar area to socialise and staff were very unintrusive into out stay!

we had a superior double room, with free films and interview (worth paying the extra for). Very friendly staff and really good spa.
