The size of the room 202 was compact and bejue...
Staff is usually polite and helpful.
It is always a gamble, there is a large variation between rooms. Some a badly heated and/or noisy, water installations are generally problematic. This time I had a room with a water pressure in the shower being so low that only a trickle came out when you lifted the shower head. This was independent of time of day.
Very helpful staff. Comfy Beds. Excellent room facilities.
Poorly trained staff, tired rooms, over priced food (although good). B&B expensive for overall quality of hotel.
Very conventient location, centrally placed for both shopping, university campus(es) visiting, gym/ outdoor exercising and restaurant visits.
The hotel building is ready for some upgrade within the next years. But clean facilities and nice stafff.
No water pressure for shower and no hot water in the morning. Had obviously over booked with coach parties so also no hot food in the evening. Appalling experience.
Location was great for me to visit my family in Hatfield
The shower in room five is about 8inches from the floor and I my opinion a rial just inside the shower to. Help you up the step would have been appreciated.
No drinking water provided
Clean comfortable room Staff friendly and well presented Free wifi is a very good perk Food was well cooked and enjoyable Breakfast was very good
Over familiarity of staff in restaurant (kept calling me "mate") I had my starter after main course as it was forgotten by waiter (pad not used to write down order) Limited menu reduced even further by several out of stock items.
Bed was excellent, so comfortable I sleep the best I ever had in a hotel!
Friendly and felt very safe. The price was a bargain. The bar was cosy and the bar menu was very reasonable. It's right opposite a shopping mall. Free parking. Quiet. Easy to find.
Hardly anything to not like, the shower head needed descaling and the batteries in the tv remote needed changing but that was all.
I liked the cooperation of the stuff. In addition the quiet environment of the Hotel.
there was no slipper in the room. The booking was not free cancellation.
It's position relevant to motorways nearby and St Albans
Spacious clean bedroom Lots of choice for breakfast (not wilting under hot lamps) Plenty of parking
How the doors slam shut. When there are other guests who are drunk (or inconsiderate) and going in and out of rooms for instance, the doors don't have a slow shut on them and therefore SLAM shut Not great for those trying to sleep
Friendly and welcoming receptionist, big car park and easy to find
The room. Although I booked a cheap single room, the room was tiny and the heating wasn't on even though it was 1 degrees outside. The Room was freezing and the portable heater only heated one part of the room. The bath had hair in and the water was only hot. I took a bath on arrival but had to wait 2 hours for water to be cool enough as no cold water would come through. Same in the morning wanted to take a shower but couldn't as only red hot water no cold. I also thought £10 breakfast was quite steep
The Staff were curtious and helpful also the rooms were comfortable providing a bed that did not cause bad back. The breakfast provided that Sunday morning was delicious.
We cannot blame the Hotel Staff for this but during our visit there was a wedding party staying and we had noisy guest that were still noisy at 3 in the morning! This did spoil my Wife's sleeping that night I was lucky as this did not affect me. My Daughter did mention the following day that my Wife should have contacted Reception!
No radiator in room so was very cold! Only a fan heater available which was too noisy to sleep with. At £70+ for a tiny single room, I expect heating as a minimum standard. Definitely not value for money!
Had to change room on xmas day as toilet not flushing. given wrong directions to new room was just around corner from old!
Staff is very helpfully.
Good spacious modern room with clean linen and very comfortable facilities. Staff very helpful.
Location is good for convenience, travel between London and Hertfordshire.
Facilities were poor, rooms shockingly bad and small, shower in the room only TRICKLED boiling hot water it was so bad i gave up complaining about it. Will never stay here again or recommend anyone to.
The bed and shower were awesome. Very clean room.
Need to supply better quality tea and coffee and more of it.
Room was lovely and clean . Good facilities such as hairdryer and iron . Would stay here again ! Staff were friendly .
Matress too soft for my liking .
staff bed the bath
run down rat runs to find your room and back to reception
