The room was gorgeous, massive with a huge bed and separate couch area, overlooking the back of the hotel (river and bridge) which was really pretty. To the front of the hotel was the town centre so ideally located for all the local bars and reasturants! Very reasonably priced, would definitely stay again.
It was a very easy place to find, the staff were very obliging and the cuisine was excellent.
Was not informed that the wifi only lasted 24hrs. I felt the entrance to the Hotel could be enhanced a bit from the road frontage.
Staying at the mercure was very comfortable indeed and the staff very friendly and helpful, the hotel is in a great location for all the shops, pubs and restaurants.
Great location Comfortable room
Abrupt staff A lot of nightlife nearby - noisy Have stayed before, and did not realise swimming pool had gone. Disappointed.
Location Wifi worked
Noisy room Uncomfortable pillows Poorly functioning elevator Noisy plumbing Construction zone Needs major renovation
Very bad experience with the staff to be moved.i will never attend a mercury hotel again.
Large rooms. Clean. Staff friendly.
Very noisy outside at night. The bar prices were extortionate!
staff - could not be nicer at front desk when I mentioned the disruptive noise I was moved to another, quiet, room
first night - room overlooked Church St and loud music/noise from local bar and customers lasted until after 1am - made sleep difficult room - rather small
wifi staff location
noise broken down lift, leaking roof with buckets everywhere dirty carpets damp smell banging doors because they are impossible to close quietly uncomfortable entrance to room - extra narrow and door on vicious spring
Location is in 5 min walk to train and bus stations, tourist information. Easy to get everything. Plenty of breakfast. Friendy staff. Good wifi connection
Noisy as beside bars until midnight.
Breakfast, toppings for bread curtains dirty rusty bin wet walls
Location was perfect central for all we needed
Staff ere helpful. Lovely view of River Ness from bar & dining room.
1. were not advised that pool had closed from 1/08/14. It was still advised as having a pool. given the cold weather we were looking forward to a warm swim, which would complement the gym. Very shortsighted decision to close it, as many travellers book a hotel depending on availability of a pool. It was difficult to cool rooms, thefore windows needed to left open. Raucous sound of birds therfore awoke us at 5 am
Location was great, breakfast lovely and bed nice and comfy. Was lovely to get upgraded to a superior room.
Parking is horrific, too tightly packed - couldn't get our baby out of our car! Bathroom needs upgrading - very tired looking and shower very temperamental. Also lift very small for pram to fit in.
Lack of parking on arrival. Very slow internet. Pay extra for a 'room with a view'...of chimneys and a high street. Conflicting information of what room included. No air con.
The night we were there it was warm so we had to have the window open. There was a lot if street noise.
Reception staff were welcoming and polite. Location is very good.
Bathroom needs updating. Restaurant very poor. "The Carvery" was no more than a canteen collect your food arrangement.
We travelled by train to Inverness and had no trouble taking the short walk to the hotel. Our room had a view of the riverside and was most comfortable. An evening meal in the hotel was very good. Next day the hotel minded our luggage until the afternoon when we left for the next part of our journey.
Nothing to complain about.
Room was nice, Breakfast was very good, staff were pleasant. What's not to like?
All was good.
near railway station
We paid £150 for one night stay, room only. The room was supposed to be a premier room but I could find nothing "premier" about it.
Front rooms of hotel can be noisy at night
I liked the well mannered staff and the toiletries in the bathroom. The were plenty of lots of tea and a coffee maker and kettle. We enjoyed the meals and how well they were presented. The staff were very friendly in the dining room as well. We would use this hotel again.
There was nothing that I didn't like that couldn't be fixed. The bath was old and stained but not dirty.
location nice beds clean
floormat that makes me snooze needs a lot of refurbishment no air conditioning dirty windows noisy bathrooms ugly building crampy janitor room visible from my room trojan wifi
