We had a room facing the street, which was a double edged sword, really. We asked for parking and when we arrived we were told the car park was full, so had to park on the street. From our room we could keep an eye on the car - which was parked between a couple of lively bars. We used the express check out and found out after we were miles away that they had charged us for parking even though we couldn't get the car in. Not happy about that. Additionally, on Sunday morning the bin men were out in force emptying all the bins from the bars. No chance for sleeping in if that was the choice. I thought the hotel was expensive for what we got, but there weren't many choices, so that's just how it is.
We were passing through on a road trip and we wanted specifically to go to Hootanany that night. This was a perfect location as it's right in the middle of town and just down the street. Also, instead of the hotel's breakfast, we opted to go to the Highland Hotel for breakfast and it was just a quick walk up the street. Room was find, beds comfortable.
