blood in the bed and on the walls . also food was poor. corridors smelt of urine a damp .
Price, availability, proximity to Leeds City centre given the low price
Tired decor, mediocre rooms not particularly clean bathroom but fine for a cheap 1 night stay
Had requested a non smoking room but was allocated a smoking room which stank! Moved to non smoking room but furniture in room was extremely old & in poor condition, bathroom smelt horrible - damp & foisty, heater was broken,TV remote control didn't work. Put up with it as we were only staying for one night. Definitely would not return though. Room not very clean, carpet stained & rubbish was left from previous guests.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Cold at night. Decor tired
The waitress at was helpful int he morning with a take away breakfast
Everything else, particularly springs being felt through the old and worn out mattress!
The size of executive room
Poor food- was like a menu from a retirement home. Only one card machine shared round the bar/ restaurant. No decaf coffee.
Staff were pretty helpful. Room was clannish
Well out of town, if you are planning on being in Leeds centre for most of your trip you may as well pay £20-30 more and save your self taxi fare's back and forth. (it cost between £8-10 each trip and is far too long to walk. Room itself was fine but totally basic.
The fact that when we arrived, they were myself and others that have booked there. But there was no available beds. And was told they had be booked up for three weeks! We had to wait for 15mins to be told because we was the early booking we got a room and others hadn't! Can't understand how companies are managing to sell rooms to customers when they isn't any available. Once we got into our room we had missed our booking for our tea so that ment we lost our table and had to wander round Leeds to find somewhere. Once we came back to our room after our evening we was then awakened by a fire alarm (which I'm glad it works) but to find that it was a false alarm and was told it was because of trouble with the alarm sensors. So all in all our little night away for peace and relaxation and no stress didn't happen so we had wasted money for nothing!
While secure booking i was prepaying which was not mentioned during the booking process. Rooms were not clean, Room had no window, fire alarm went of 6.00 AM, address on navigation did not take me to the hotel, rooms & drinks overpriced. Bar closed early on a Saturday. Overall quite poor i would not recommend
Room was ok but the rest of the surroundings thought it was like butlins in the 70s
The guy on reception was professional thought the girl staff on reception were very unfriendly. It was my first stay no said welcome to the Britannia I stay hotels six months of the year.
The food was excellent and the all dining experience good. Local knowledge of reception staff was very good compared with other hotels we have stayed with. Friendliness of staff and National Holiday people was a bonus
The layout of the room a double bed in my mind should not be against a wall. When we changed to a ground floor room the bathroom was perishing cold.
food etc was good value
room was cold and noisy
The bed was too soft and had spring coking out of it But the staff made this place what it is Best staff I have experiences in any hotel excellent work guys
Comfiness of bed
the hotel we were sent to
we didn't like getting there , to be told that they had over booked, then be sent to another hotel that they had booked us into only to be told that we had to pay them the money that Britannia had already taken on 24th.all we did that afternoon was travel on busses n Taxies,
Hotel nice and clean
Woken by noisey guests various times throughout the night
Decor Tatty No remote for TV Doors in corridor slam very loudly
The heating did not work in the room. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. I was not able to access the restaurant at 7.45 and the bar menu was very limited.
Bed was dreadful. Beside light did not work.
I chose the hotel because of its location in relation to the place I would visit the next day. The average review score given that it is a cheap hotel is that it is generally okay.
But the food I ordered was terrible, could not eat it. Front desk printers were broken so I had no receipt, they promised to e-mail receipt, but I have not yet received anything.
Convenient location for our purposes. Staff very friendly.
Poor state of the hotel. Poor level of cleanliness. Overall a shabby hotel that needs a major refurbishment. Very noisy neighbours and loud doors when closing.
There were hairs in two meals, dinner and then breakfast. The bed was uncomfortable.
My first time to stay in a room without window or any hole
Hotel was clean, very nice! Polite and helpful staff
The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were very and not supporting, we had lasagna & gammon, not the best!chips were microwave tasting, no white bread for toast?
Food was good
Bed was not comfortable Not much choice for breakfast
Big room, cheap late check out,
Rooms were old and not clean. Dust on furniture, all the furniture was tatty, bath had hair round the plug hole, stains on the walls. Hair dryer looked like something from the 60's.
