Even though situated right in the town centre, the room was very quiet and therefore an excellent nights sleep.
Expensive prices in hotel bar.
Central. Left my house to binge drink without worries and I binge drank without worries.
Noisy club in a so a lack of sleep. Hotel tired and in need of refurbishment even phone in the room filthy.
Other than the single glazing everything else was perfect!
...Unfortunately, there were thousands of student freshers larging it out on the Main Street until well after 3am! Two Leicester hotels in two nights ...no sleep!
Room very noisy Bathroom needs updating One 6 capacity lift for 100+ rooms
The location and quality of the hotels furnishings and excellent presentation.
The room we had was quite noisy from a party that went on until 1am, and disturbed our sleep. We were disappointed our request for a quiet room wasn't fulfilled, however, the hotel management have apologised and compensated us adequately for the way our weekend away was spoilt.
City Central location
Private parking available at hotel Close to city centre Quality comfort rooms Excellent food and drink
The room was superb. The receptionists were efficient and polite.
We had no reason to dislike anything as we just used the room and the bar for a drink.
Location was great. Amemities were as expected
Espresso from the bar in lobby
The room size The hotel looked lovely Good location city centre
Bed mattress was old and worn out sunk very low. Noise was very bad early hours in morning Rooms were very hot not air conditioning.
We liked the central position of the hotel, the beautiful staircase, the lovely helpful staff, the great breakfasts, the unique carpets and comfortable lounge areas.
No-where to put the soap in the shower
Central location. Quick and efficient check-in. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Bathrooom had someone else's hair on the floor
Not enough room to list all faults. A few to warn others about; 1 'Studio' rooms to be avoided. 2 In last stay room I had to go into bath area before I could access WC. 3 I was 'harangued' and 'hassled' by a waiter at my table to pay for breakfast. 4 NOT 4 Stars. 5 Do not think I will stay again. Very unhappy.
Staff went out of their way to help us.
Tv and movie service didn't work even when we were given a 2nd room for this. Ruined our last evening together before a 6 month seperation
Great rooms and refurbishment, excellent Free WiFi in the room, a warm welcome from Reception very helpful, good Bar Service also, well done The Mercure Grand

We liked everything about our stay. A great dinner a very relaxing lounge and really friendly staff that new exactly what they were doing.
Its compelety rabbish
The hotel has original features throughout it is beautiful. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the car park was secure and on site!
I don't think you should be charged to park if you are staying in a hotel but that's not just for this hotel I think across the board.
staff were helpful.
Room allocated to us was not clean. Toilet did not flush properly, generally due to renovation work being carried out.
Great location right in the centre, close to bars and restaurants. Parking on site and only £7 very reasonable compared to other nearby hotels. Rooms small but have everything you need including a proper hairdryer.
lifts bit slow and sour milk breakfast
