Breakfast is awful. The coffee was so watered down it was tasteless. The breakfast itself was cheap, the ingredients were second rate and very easy to see. Spending a bit extra on decent sausages and bacon would go a long way. There are a lot of cheaper better places to have breakfast locally.

The most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in.

On returning to our room at midnight our lights in our room did no work, so after 10 mins wait we were given another room the other side of the hotel. Hotel looks a bit run-down.

Good location and safe parking. Bar staff were friendly and helpful.

Reception staff were not particuarly welcoming and did not appear to be enjoying their role. As the first person you meet they were not smiling or customer focused. The hotel was exceptional hot and the radiator could not be turned down.

Very friendly staff great location, you could not fault the buffet breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms, would definitely recommend to others.

Convenient car parking, quiet location and good breakfast

We arrived shortly after 10pm. When we opened the door to our room, it was as the last occupant had left it; beds unmade, wet towel, shampoo and soap in shower and the ironing board out. Reception gave us the impression that this was our fault and we were kept waiting for several minutes, I suspect while they checked that the room was really as we described. Eventually we were given a superior room that was to the standard you would expect from this group, but this should happen much more rapidly if you are to retain any credibility with a new customer

Booked through bookings.com so gad a much cheaper rate.

Would not have ben prepared to pay £14.95 for a breakfast!

not a dislike but I would suggest a little re-furb of the rooms looking tired.

Location. Staff were very good. Dinners EXCELLENT.

Pillows! Outside could do with upgrade. It does not reflect how good the hotel is inside. In fact the outside around reception entrance rather puts you off on first impression.

Great town centre location Clean and warm, A nice restaurant with good breakfast

Small bed room which looked a bit dated and the bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked but our bed at home cost a lot so we probably have been spoilt and expected too much

I've always liked the location, easy parking, rooms are reasonably priced.

Afraid I was less happy this time - the room had a cobweb on the curtain when I arrived, there was loud 'background' music playing when I was eating breakfast, which is no longer waitress service for my room was down a corridor peppered with almost unmanageable fire doors and unhelpful steps, so it's a real issue to get to your room with bags/getting bags to check out. Sorry, but having come here once a year for over 10 years it feels like the place is losing its charm. The duvet was very thin, and really need a blanket in each room. No Sky in bedroom so couldn't follow the golf! I've had lots of favourable feedback about the new Premier Inn so will probably book there next year.

Staff were very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Attractive décor throughout. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

Beds were not very comfortable

Not much.

Some staff could do with re-training in customer service. Tears in the window nets. Radiators which won't turn off, making the room too hot. General down-at-heel feel to the place.

Central location

When we arrived, our room had been given to someone else. So the receptionist had to find her boss to find us another room ....quickly!

Food was fair enough, not what I expected from a 3 star hotel.

Nice clean room, with large flat screen tv. Bath and shower. Very good cooked breakfast.

Towels were only changed after I had asked for them to be changed, even though had left wet towels in bath, the were just put back on the rail and behind the door. For some reason no toilet brush.

Very quiet, staff brilliant especially the young girl in the restaurant in the morning . So helpful in every way

Bed made me and my husband have a bad back in the morning
