The staff were terrific and very obliging. The bed was very very comfortable the shower was great and the room brilliant. There is some road traffic noise being so close to the m1 but not really noticable. A lift would be brilliant and perfect world a swimming pool?

Its cheap, the rooms are quite nice in the most part as they are new. I stayed their 5 nights in the last two weeks. The TV's are shocking - hardly any channels and a rubbish picture. The Wifi can be very patchy - Sometimes it works fine, then other times you can't get any access to it even if you are connected. I suppose its better than not having any Wifi but it is annoying when it goes down.

Space in room. Large shower - sink in bedroom enabled more space in bedroom. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. Soft pillows meant poor night's sleep. Evening meals very basic.

Excellent staff who were both efficient and very friendly. Room was clean, well laid-out, attractively-decorated and had all the necessary utilities. Was also quiet despite being so close to the M1 and another main road. Breakfasts offered many varied and tasty options. One of the mattresses had noisy springs, the shower control was very difficult to keep in one position and the room door was very stiff and noisy to close/open.

Price was good, room had everything it needed, free wifi was appreciated, already booked some more nights for this week. tv was very disappointing picture quality and lack of channels, noisy at times, not from the road but mostly other guests banging doors etc. No biscuits on tea tray. But these are small things that should be sortable.

Swift check in by friendly staff. Excellent location off M1. Clean and comfortable room. Great value for money. I did not eat here so I cannot comment on that but I will say that the brew kit was ample rather than just two token tea bags.

Everything was good No lift. Had help to carry bag upstairs, but had to carry it back down on my own, very heavy. Difficult becuase I had more than one to carry. Breakfast not good value for money. When asked for full English i got: Lots of beans, some mushroom. One sausage and a bacon. Still hungry after!

Every member of staff was exceptionally cheerful and welcoming. Reception quick and easy. Although the main restaurant was being refurbished our group enjoyed a pleasant meal in the temporary facilities. Room was clean and well prepared. Shower cubicles were huge and good quality toiletries and hair dryer were provided. I was advised by another guest to request a room away from the motorway as they had found their room to be very noisy the previous night. This request was met so I had no noise issues.

restaurant closed nearby, basic food in the hotel, on breakfast there was no buffet due to limited number of guests in the hotel and food was cooked to order, however, this was not always exactly what was ordered and also a bit 'tight' on portion sizes

We chose this hotel as a convenient overnight stop on our way south for a weekend away. Location (just off the m1) and price were important as it was simply a place to put our heads down on our journey. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, I had rung ahead to say we would be quite late. We had a quiet, very comfortable, well-equipped and recently refurbished family room. Breakfast, which was included, was excellent. At £61 for 3 inclusive of breakfast, it was a bargain. We would definitely stay again. There was a greasy smell in the public parts coming from the direction of the kitchen which was surprising as there was nothing greasy about the cooked breakfast at all. It appeared to be a ventilation/extraction issue.

We have stayed here twice a year for over 5 years now, even before it was taken over. We used to pay for a smoking room before it was taken over. The only down side now is that it doesnt have smoking rooms. We would be prepared to pay a bit more for a smoking room but it wont put us off staying as its very local for all our needs! Nice to see some of the staff were kept on as they are very friendly towards us as regulars!! Please put back a few smokers rooms!!

It was a very convenient location, and whilst I was a little concerned at it's close proximity to a very busy road, this didn't affect my stay at all - the hotel was lovely and quiet! The food at the hotel was very good, with a variety of choices on the menu. All the staff I encountered during my stay were excellent - very friendly and helpful.

Convenience of location for my purpose of visiting my Aunt on her 90th birthday. TV did not have freeview. Remote did not work, but one of the staff found a replacement as soon as I mentioned it. The only plug for the kettle was behind the TV, so the kettle had to be boiled next to the TV. Not a good idea. No socket near the bedhead for me to plug in my DAB radio. I do realise that Best Western only recently took over the hotel, but for the price charged, it was very disappointing.

We stayed at Best Western Nottingham Derby as had a meeting in the area and also to visit family. Have stayed there several times before and are generally very happy with everything. This time Branigans restaurant/bar was closed for refurbishment so breakfast was served at a new area in the main hotel. This was a much nicer experience as didn't have to go out in the cold to get breakfast. The staff there were very pleasant and helpfull. Only one small critism. We got to the hotel at 10.45pm and the bar had closed earlier. It would have been nice to be able to get a drink after a long journey. We have stayed at Best western Westminster Hotel Nottingham several times and the bar there is open till late.

The hotel was comfortable and warm. The staff were very helpful,Rooms were spacious enough and clean. The breakfast was excellent the lady serving the breakfasts was very cheery.. I think she would rather be on "xfactor" though..as she gave us a rendition of Amy Winehouses' Valerie,Very comical! All in all it was a very pleasant stay... Many Thanks Only downside was the Branaghans Resaurant and Bar was being refurbished and we had to go to a restaurant in a nearby village to celebrate our daughters birthday... But the staff did recommend us an Italian restaurant which was excellent. No complaints

Friendly staff. Reasonably priced breakfast. The restaurant is not somewhere you would like to linger. It is ok as the breakfast room but better to go out for something to eat. Limited menu. No lift. No room service.
