I last stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago when it was operating under its original brand. It has now been substantially refurbished to a better standard and is an improvement in almost every respect bar one very important one - see below. It seems that the hotel has no responsibility for, or control over, the restaurant on the same site. This means that the latter can completely disregard the interests of hotel guests. In the evening meals are not served in this restaurant after 9 pm which is at least an hour too soon for any hotel which wants to offer flexibility and convenience for its guests. I arrived shortly after 8.50 pm to be told that there was no chance of a meal. There are no other places to eat nearby. If you want to eat in the evening, be prepared to go elsewhere. It is most unlikely that I will ever stay at this hotel again on my frequent visits to Donington Park..

Very cold in the room - extremely cold in the bathroom which was quite a large room with a window to the road with no curtain / blind (it was obscured glass but even so) and no heating whatsoever. It was Baltic in there. There was a large window in the room again on to a main road which meant you couldn't hear the telly for the road noise - which went on all night. Really noisy area, woken up a few times with shouts and noises during the night. Unpleasant receptionist just made everything feel worse

The rooms were large and decorated tastefully. This hotel was better than what I expected and I really enjoyed "The Grill" adjacent to the hotel for an evening meal, very nice interior and menu'S. I couldn't get the wi-fi to work in the hotel room. Its a shame it didn't have any leisue facilities.

A good, value for money 'workers' hotel that provides a very good breakfast choice. Have indicated that comfort is 'fair' because the noise from the motorway is quite high during all night hours.

We have stayed at this hotel twice a year for the last five years (under its various names) and the standard is as good as ever. My only gripe (for the whole five years) is the vety poor quality of the toilet paper. We always take our own. It wouldnt cost that much more for the hotel to provide a decent quality paper!!!!

While dining at the Grill we were amazed at the excellent attention from the waitress (didn't get her name but a middle-aged lady with a sense of humour!) The food was excellent value for money too. Waitress at breakfasr was rather slow to clear plates and reached across in front of my sister to collect my plate rather than walking around the table.

Pleasant staff, exceptional value, good food, clean & tidy, good location, comfort Through no fault of the staff, breakfast was slow with only 1 staff member & coffee machine not working, we were lead to believe It would be buffet style breakfast. No other faults.

It was a stop over for a log journey. Satisfactory but not well signed. Silly having 3 hotels in one location all with names very alike. Irritating! To tired to deal with nonsense..derby notts or notts derby. Who cares just hotel name and a few signs by the roundabouts would suffice. clean comfortable bed.but a bit to far from the city to go walkabout. but..no noise....so ideal for rest. I would recommend if it was easier to locate

The hotel was beautifully decorated/furnished and the room size was generous with good facilities. I was travelling with my mother who is disabled and the staff went out of their way to ensure that our rooms were together. The hotel was easy to find and as we were only staying for one night whilst visiting relatives, it was ideal for our stay. As I've said before the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money by booking through Booking.com It would appear that the heating was not working and we could feel the cold in the corridor leading to our rooms. Inside the rooms the thermostats both registered at 12.5 degrees. I decided to raise the heating by using the switch on the wall, but this did not work in either room. I had to take a hot bath to get warm enough to sleep and my elderly mother was frozen. Bearing in mind my mother is crippled with arthritis, this was not satisfactory, as I would expect all disabled rooms to be warm and cosy for the occupants. We did mention this problem to the staff in the morning and they said that they will get someone to look at it. I am sure this can be rectified.

Pleasantly surprised at the accommodation and situation for our needs and for the price Very loud party of youngsters who were shouting and slamming doors from mid afternoon and then again very loud and woke us up at about 4 am when they returned from their night out. Complete lack of respect for other residents.
