The pillows were too hard and was unable to turn the radiator down
Dirty bathroom food over priced
Comfortable bed, clean room, good price. heating good. Very noisy party going on at the time but once in our room we couldn't hear a thing.
Bathroom was a bit tired and the shower curtain was naff. It wasn't in the right place so it "clung" to the body. The temperature varied suddenly which was disconcerting to say the least. Shame as it let everything else down.
Friendliness of staff - reception. Comfy, quiet night, easy parking, room temperature good, convenient location for our purpose.
Room rather cramped. Lift was too clinical. Beds rather too mobile - just sitting on them and they moved away!
All staff were very helpful indeed especially when I had unfortunately to complain.
The duvet cover was torn. I could not get connected to the films even after several attempts as it would not recognise the code I was given. The 'hot' food at the breakfast bar was cold when I came to eat it. A member of staff did get the containers changed when I alerted her to it.By that time I did not have time to have another breakfast. The Receptionist did give me my money back for breakfast.
good location and secure parking. Staff well trained with good local knowledge.
not enough tea coffee in room stock could ber larger
Only one chair to sit and eat at the table.
The acc. Was quite good buy we only had one towel, one shower gel, one coffee sashet and the pillows are like sleeping on a rock. Most things were sorted eventually
Location to the A1 Breakfast - though expensive at £10 EACH!!!
Our double bed was actually two single beds pushed together! Our radiator didn't work..though we reported it! The long wooden handrail was rough and gave me splinters!
Location and bar staff
Beds like a stone Worst nights sleep ever
This hotel has a good location for both the town centre and Race course. Good value for money.
This hotel could do with a makeover it's looking a bit worn.
On opening the door to our allocated suite, there was an overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke. We went back to reception and were immediately offered an alternative: Resolved! When setting off from the hotel for a day out, we asked at reception about the car parking charges, and were told it's included in the rate - ticket validated there and then: Resolved! Breakfast was excellent. The mattresses were new (so were still firm all over). Access throughout appears suitable for people with impaired mobility (ramps, lifts, wide doorways, and appropriately positioned viewing holes in assigned doors.)
I appreciate that the adjacent houses pose a problem as far as car park lighting is concerned, but perhaps waist-height lights pointing towards the hotel would reduce the darkness in the car park at the back?
One chair only in a room for two people
Food, Location,friendly service
Amenities in the bedroom was sparse, towels were not as soft as anticipated. Lack of coffee facilities
Good Staff, Nice location
Possible upgrade to the lounge bar areas needed in near future ?
cracked wash basin
hotel needs some money spending on it. rooms need to be brought up to date.
soap etc.,in bathroom. easy parking the ambiance was excellent. would stay again although would not book breakfast.
the bed was dated springs pinging through the night waking you up. 2 light bulbs out in bathroom. breakfast expensive at £10 00 and if you came down at 9 am it was a dry. Did not seem to be done as required which should have been the case at the price.
A short walk into the town which was lovely, amazing restaurants and got lucky with the Christmas lights switch on. Really nice place for a long weekend. We went for a course so didn't have the days to do anything much.
Didn't eat in the restaurant as its style is soul less and it had a television so no atmosphere, not what we were looking for.
spacious comfortable quiet room
Huge puddle in the car park. Restaurant rather chilly and impersonal
George on reception went that extra mile.
Cleaners never said good morning.
Room was comfortable once we had sorted the heating out. Good night sleep.
Restaurant service was slow and inattentive. Good food though.
COMFORTABLE HOTEL GREAT LOCATION.
Comfortable bed, size of the room, staff was friendly; Wifi was ok
Flush did not work proberly, bathroom facilities old, partially mouldy, water pressure aweful.
Easy to find and park. Better value than other nearby hotels. Quiet rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
