We were doing the Etape Cymru as were some other guests. The hotel had La Vuelta showing on the bar tv; laid on a fixed price special buffet for cyclists and staff arrived extra early to provide breakfast so we could get to the event in time. If only other places did the same!!
Helpful reception staff
snooty waiter in the restaurant
Lovely rooms, very big and comfortable. Very easy to find. Staff really friendly. Bar food really lovely and a great choice available.
Not enough tea and sugar sachets in room but reception happy to replace. Breakfast was really expensive and less choice than I would have expected from a hotel of this type.
Quiet night's sleep - it was a Monday and Tuesday night stay!
Air conditioning too cool in bar area. Breakfast not wonderful, coffee cold paid full price for continental breakfast! cereal and toast not worth it.
Excellent room, Nice & quiet, Brilliant shower. Really good food., room service, quick & friendly.
The little things that were given a lot of attention very clean and tidy
no pool Executive room poorly stocked
Executive room was big enough for the four of us, room service was decent quality, fast, and reasonably priced.
Breakfast pricey as not included in room rate, spa pool a bit small, would be great if the hotel had a pool!
Very comfortable room with friendly and helpful staff.
The shower size The bathrobes The friendly staff The TV with my name on
The noise of other guests
Pleasant and obliging staff
Having to wait until I was halfway through my starter before my wine arrived, even though I had reminded the waiter
Room was clean , spacious well supplied with toiletries & tea making facilities
Continental breakfast overpriced , so made do with tea & biscuits in the room
Location was excellent about 1 mile from Central Wrexham, 10 miles from Chester, just off motorway very easy to find. Beautiful hotel so so clean was going to upgrade to executive floor but was unavailable for our stay had a look at executive floor on day of departure and guess what the only difference is the size of the room just a shade bigger. Lovely stay would highly recommend this hotel, I am very fussy about my hotels but this one ticked all the boxes for me, great value for money !!!!
the hotel in general was easy to find , the staff were excellent and very helpful
We didn't get chance to use the facilities but were not quite sure what we could use
Not a lot.
On two separate occasions staff walked in to room. Very rude staff a breakfast. Avoid this hotel
During a heat wave, the air conditioning was great. The hotel had all the latest features, plus luxury items like robes, slippers, etc. would definitely stay there again.
The spa pool (a whirlpool) was not very hot and no wifi. They charged 6.95 pounds for wifi access.
The rooms were spacious and the towels were lovely! The staff were efficient and friendly.
The staff at breakfast were a bit stretched as there were quite a few residents. Some food choices ran out but they were eventually replaced.
The staff were excellent: friendly, helpful and efficient. The evening meal in the restaurant was very good. Our room was spacious.
Small points: Very few drawers in the bedroom. Modest choice for the buffet breakfast, especially breads and pastries.
I only had a single nights stay, but the staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean comfortable and quiet, very nice indeed.
The hotel was very stylish, modern, loved the layout of the room. The breakfast was great and the food from the lounge bar was very good. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Slightly more expensive than I would normally like to pay but obviously I knew the price before we booked so can't really complain.
Unfortunately they did not have a room for us and they put us in a smoking room, as that was the only room available. The hotel blamed booking.com for not informing them about our booking. The smell in our room was horrible and cleanliness of that room was not good either. However to there credit they tried to make it us by giving us free breakfast coupons but we would have preferred a better room.
Hotel was as described and room was quite spacious. Staff were friendly and efficient
The fact I had booked a continental breakfast online at £6.95 per person-hotel had no record of this- and they charged me £9.95 per person which I only realised when I got home and checked my bill.
Everything! It was a birthday treat for my husband and the surprise upgrade on arrival was a bonus. All the extras were there.Would definitely return!
Nothing! However we were surprised to see the very large lawned grounds at the back which wasn't made use of.Would have been lovely with footpaths and benches for guests.
Staff are very helpful and the room size is exceptional
