It was much cheaper than b and B's we were considering. The room was a generous size. It was convenient and stylish for such an inexpensive room. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very polite and helpful. It was good to have a spacious shower cubicle. The room and hotel had a modern and cheerful feel. This is not a complaint but a comment - the bathroom did not air well and we kept the bathroom door and the room window open for some time to let the bathroom air.

the location is excellant if travelling by car,not far from motorway and within walking distance of town centre.... even though the room was good i would have preferred if the floor was carpeted instead of wood laminate.

Familiarity - we have stayed in Ibis Hotel in Gloucester and liked it. Also it was convenient for where we needed to go the next day to a Gymnastics competition in which our grand children were taking part. Only the chair in the bedroom 222 which was worn and frayed.

I really appreciated the friendly and pleasant staff who were very helpful and personable. I personally, was getting away for my first holiday longer than a weekend in fifteen years and was looking for quiet, and peace and although there were a couple of large parties present at the time of my stay, I felt that I got exactly what I wanted and more. The breakfast buffet was a real treat and good value for money and I loved the beef stew with dumplings in a giant yorkshire pud. I stayed for six nights and felt so comfortable that it was like staying at home only better because I didn't have anyone asking me stuff 24/7 - and it was tidy. Exceptional service and a definite recommendation for an affordable break away. Also, only about twenty minute walk to the city centre.

I booked the hotel but did not stay there personally. My partner and son stayed there as they are working in the area. They thought the facilities at the hotel were very good. So much so that their business is on going for 3 weeks Monday to Friday and have decided to stay there for the whole 3 weeks

The staff were excellent but were obviously under staffed as breakfast was poor in availability on Sunday morning as the hotel was full. If you charge hotel prices then you must cater accordingly. We dined on Saturdy night and the food was very good - but breakfast was a disaster and we should really have been re-embursed. You must have more flexible staff arrangements - to be fair to them as well as we found the vast majority very obliging and pleasant. See above. The staff were very good.

Staff were great and the hotel was well priced and comfortable. Its a bit out of the way and I am a bit surprised that there isnt a front entrance (however small) The hotel is on a new commercial estate and the entrance is at the rear. Consequently if your walking itno town or attempting to access the main road to get local transport you have to walk a reasonable distance before you even start. I dont think I would use the hotel again if I was travelling with my partner but I would certainly do so for business or travelling alone.

The reception staff and chef were excellent - very obliging. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. There was dust, a tissue and a sweet under the bed and they had been there for some considerable time. After noticing this we inspected the room and found: dust and dirt behind the curtains dust, hair and dirt behind and underneath the sofa bed. A razor top had been dropped on the floor in the bathroom on the Tuesday - we left it there. It was still there on the Saturday when we checked out. After complaining , it was sort of resolved still not 100% clean.

The location and the fact that I could see my car from the window of my room. Also the late check out. The tiles on the floor of the bathroom were cracked and broken. The groouting was missing and left large gaps. Not very hygienic!!!!! There was mould in the corner of the shower. The soap dispenser in the shower was broken, although I would not have used it anyway. One of the bedside lights and the three pin socket beneath it did not work.
