Rampsbeck Country House Hotel  

Peaceful atmosphere. Staff not intrusive but spot on when needed.

The food was excellent, the staff were courteous and the rooms were very comfortable

Rampsbeck Country House Hotel is a beautiful 5 star hotel in a wonderful location overlooking Ullswater. Attention to detail, friendly and attentive staff with excellent food make this a wonderful place to stay in the Lakes.

We just enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, a quiet hotel environment and attentive staff. Could've stayed longer.

Lack of lift to bedrooms

It oooosed of comfort and style. Service and food some of the best we have had in this country.

The lovely lake view room was small considering it was a superior upgrade from standard.

Quiet location very friendly staff decor was just luxury and the food was to die for. Wonderful Wonderful hotel will return again soon

The country house setting and its location right on the edge of Ullswater was stunning and all rooms we used, including our own and all public areas were beautiful, welcoming and immaculately clean, without being sterile. In addition to this, the staff made this a very welcoming stay.

The only slight criticism, was that the dinner menu was aimed at providing a four course experience rather than giving this as an option. We felt that this menu was expensive, but the lunch, tea, and room service menus were all good quality and value for money.

The Rampsbeck Hotel is without doubt a hidden gem....Not too sure that I should write this as it may get too full !!!! Don't be put of by the 3 star rating....It's a 5 all the way....I've stayed in 4 & 5 star hotel's and this is up there with the best of them. The Restaurant is superb and the fare just too good for words.. If we did not live over 300 miles away from The Rampsbeck, we'd go every weekend...But hen, It's a jewel to be savoured.....Little but as often as possible.....

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Food is Excellent and rooms are fantastic.

Everything. We stayed on a mini break deal including dinner. The meals were outstanding. And while we were eating, some staff snuck into our room and turned down our bed! Amazing. We woke up to coffee delivered to the room each morning before tottling downstairs to another great meal at breakfast. The area's scenic, it's easy to get to Penrith and the motorway but so tranquil at the country house. All in all would stay again in a heartbeat, and would recommend this stay to anyone who loves a lazy weekend or otherwise. Wonderful!

That there aren't more than 24 hours in the day.

Excellent customer services nothing too much trouble - so friendly - polite - courteous - rooms are spotless and have beautiful little touches - sitting rooms are of a relaxed nature with country fires - papers/magazines - location beautiful - food excellent never ceases to surprise the wonderful selection and tastes - like coming home to your Country House with the dogs waiting at the front door - Perfect - tranquail and wonderful establishment all round. Especially staff and food. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We love the location, the peacefulness, the gorgeous view. The attention to detail from the staff and their friendliness. We love the log fires and the comfortable lounges, the afternoon tea is delicious. The bedrooms are lovely, nicely furnished with all the extra,S. The bathrooms are very well equipped, gleaming, warm and they too have all the extra,S. The food is lovely and well presented, the staff are attentive at all times. Staying at the hotel makes you feel special and I can hardly wait to go back again..
