Norman was the perfect host. He was very helpful, giving us necessary information and answering all our queries. The breakfast was lovely with many options.
We were made to feel like royalty, nothing was too much trouble. Decor was very tasteful. Super modern and clean rooms. You will not be disappointed.
The location is ideal for a visit to Edinburgh. Its in a quiet mainly residential area but with pubs and restaurants within walking distance. It's also an pleasant walk into the centre of Edinburgh ( 15-20 mins). The breakfast has excellent choices and the owners are very friendly - nothing is too much trouble. All in all we have a great weekend including a visit to the Christmas Markets.
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Edinburgh, don't look any further. We stayed for at Ramsey's B&B for four days. The accommodation was perfect, great breakfast and very welcoming hosts. Thank you very much for these great days!
Nothing, everything was perfect.
Everything - the hosts Norrie & Sharon, their perfectly prepared locally sourced breakfasts. Lovely rooms. Absolutely perfect location.
Had an excellent honeymoon stay there great location. Lovely b&b run by a lovely couple Sharon and Norrie. We would definitely love to come back. Richard and michelle :-) xx
Breakfast was great, hotel owners Sharon&Norrie were so kind and helpful. Room was clean and furniture were new. Bed was quite big.
The room was too small even for 1, so I suggest everyone to hire a normal room if you stay at Ramsays. There was no elevator which is a problem if you have big suitcases.
- central position (10 min to Calton Hill) near very nice pubs/restaurants (much better than directly on the Royal mile!) - very nice hosts - exquisite breakfast
Everything and I mean everything. I am generally very picky about B&B;s but this one washed away any negative ideas I had. The Owners became friends, going out of their way to make my stay memorable. And it was. Location, accommodations and breakfast the TOPS! I WIL only go there when I return to Edinburg. Thanks a million!
Not one thing. I found the owners, location, food and friendship exceptional .
Sharon and Norris were perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They changed the duvet from feather to polyester as I have asthma. They didn't have a spare duvet so went out and bought one instead! Location good. Lots of independent shops and restaurants. Good tram and bus links.
Clean and comfort room, nice breakfast, very helpful host. Happy to stay here.
Location is a bit far from center and castle, about 20mins walk, still ok.
Wonderful! We would definitely go back! Norrie and Sharon are amazing hosts. We couldn't have been happier with the choice!
Great hosts, excellent breakfasts, easy access to the city. Walking distance to AVIS rent a car.
Nothing to complain about at this B&B
professional and friendly. Very comfortable with easy access to Edinburgh city. We were met on arrival and our bags were whisked away and into our room. Always polite and very helpful. Wonderful breakfasts every day. Easy access to Avis rent a car. Would stay there again
Nothing bad to say which just speaks volumes for this place.
Great location, great people, great everything! They treat you like family, but family that actually likes you!
The remsays are very kind and helpful. The room was nice, I slept well. Good breakfast.
The hosts Sharon and Norrie were excellent and very helpful. The accom and breakfasts were fantastic. Ramsay's is conveniently located with an easy walk to most places including a couple of great pubs.
They only negative was we were there for only 2 nights I would have loved to stay longer
Great staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable and clean room. Fantastic location too. Definitely recommend and will definitely stay again next time I'm in Edinburgh.
Nothing at all.
Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff. Excellent Breakfast Exceptionally Clean Facility
Absolutely superb B&B with the friendliest owners we have ever met! Great room / facilities and a breakfast second to none. Would not hesitate to book again when we return to Edinburgh.
WiFi a bit hit and miss at times.
Norman and Sharon were the best hosts one could ask for, so warm and welcoming. Sharon & Norman went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed. We left early for a long day trip & Sharon made sure we had plenty of food and drink to sustain us. She gave us weather tips for evening we were going to the Tattoo. The day we left was also an early departure and she again made sure we had ample food to take with us. I came down with a slight cold and she made me a couple of Hot Toddies to help me recover faster. The room was beautifully decorated with every creature comfort one would need. It was really hard to leave. Absolutely without question would go back. Ramsay's was truly a home away from home.
It was such a central hotel that we could access everywhere by walking, breakfasts were excellent, hotel owners were really cheerful, understanding, hospitable the hotel room was clean
From arrival to departure we were treated like royalty. Ramsays remembered that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and greeted us with a whisky toast.
Having to leave!!!!!!
Wonderful people, Sharon is exactly what you want in a landlady..friendly, helpful, goes the extra mile but never intrusive. Quiet spot but really close to Prince's Street and lots of nice wee independent shops.
great location. friendly helpful staff(great advice on places to go,and how to get there) very clean rooms. great breakfast. good value for the average price of b&b's in Edinburgh. a big thanks to norman and Sharon for making are stay so pleasant and enjoyable. would stay there again when in Edinburgh again
noise from other rooms can be heard quite easily at times. (fan from next doors bathroom, plus doors shutting) but you get that shattered from all you do around Edinburgh, that it didn't affect are sleep. but take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper,so not to spoil what otherwise is a great place to stay.
