Friendly staff, made me feel welcome and personable, and good location, as well as value for money
Clean rooms Willing staff Very well wi-fi No problem
Nothing, quality is very good for rate per night.
Good welcome, very reasonable room rates, good continental breakfast. Clean crisp white bedding & towels. Pleasant breakfast area and good service, reception and lounge area nice. Good location within walking distance of numerous restaurants. Off road parking.
Bathroom, windows, side lights, carpets and decoration all need attention. Windows didn't close very well and front hotel rooms noisy on a Sat night . Family room spacious but small double bed, plenty of room for a larger double.
No en-suit in my room
Bathroom in the corridor and when fire alarms went off there was no one to guide the guests or to switch the alarm off. It was said that someone smoking had set it off but this was not investigated as it was in the room next to my daughter.
The bed was lovely and it was very quiet.
Going up all the steep steps to r room and there is no buggy/disabled ramp
Near to town.
It took 15 minutes for the front door to be opened. The rooms need updating. Wardrobe had one door, lightbulbs were blown, the shower holder was broken, the shower cubical had black mould in the corners as did the windows.
Location and breakfast
The empty cans of special brew down the side of the bed stains on carpets and bedding also it doesn't explain on the website that the owners mainly seem to cater for people working away from home everything just seemed outdated and grubby
Friendliness of staff and going out of their way for me. Great location walking distance to centre. Free parking :-)
Hard bed and 'cardboard' duvet with no option of sheet for hot weather
location was close to what we needed
The room was scruffy, blood on the shower curtain, paint coming away from the walls, TV from the 80, a yellow pages from 6 years ago, newspaper from last year on the top of the wardrobe. staff accused me of lying about my booking when I clearly had my booking sheet with me, and tried to charge me more than what my booking was. The staff had no knowledge of where the rooms where located when she offered to show us to the room
This hotel is a bit old but very well looked after with helpful staff.WiFi very good in this hotel. The bathroom also had lots of hot water.location near the city centre was good.opposite the metro hotel.good value for money
Central location, parking, good value for money, clean comfortable bed.option of full breakfast would have been good but continental breakfast very good
U can get lost finding your room perhaps a few signposts b good. Minor issue.
Friendliness of the staff
Continental Breakfast in England ? No bar very compact room with not enough towels In need of bedroom decor revamps. I know its been taken over in last few months but to get return business there needs to be money spent on the place.
good price and convenient location
starting to look a bit tatty, needs a bit of renovation
The staff were excellent and polite and friendly
A broken blind, no curtains, dirty walls, too bright to sleep and if ur stayin on a Saturday its too noisy from the people over the road.
The welcome was warm and the room clean.
The furniture was old and dated, door missing off the wardrobe. But apart from that I slept well.
8.30am breakfast is a bit late if you are travelling that day
excellent wifi friendly staff
Car park (free), close to city centre.
Squeaky bed, thin walls...noisy at night as taxi rank outside but it was Saturday night!
Great value for money. Location within easy reach of city centre. Excellent customer service with great staff.
Location is close to City centre
Noise Not all rooms en-suite Continental breakfast only available. Croissants not fresh.
Very close to the city centre and a great little place to stay. Continental breakfast was plentiful. Overall good value for money.
Double bed in our room was very small. Whilst my wife and I are not the smallest it was very cosy!
The access to the city centre shops was great as it was within a few minutes walking distance. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good.
The room was quite sparse, no wardrobe just a clothes hanger without any hangers!! The window opened very little so the room was very hot all through the night. No air so sleeping was difficult. The bathroom & toilet was along 2 corridors so a trek in the night!
