I liked the location, quite and clean room, good bed and shower. There was a fire alarm in the hotel in the afternoon - 4 firefighters cars came to place but obviously there was not fire as we could soon go back in from the street. I found fire-stairs easily.

Cozy, clean room with very comfortable bed, pillows and high quality linen. Small room (unreasonably as single). An armchair would have been nice.

Character and ambience of the hotel was lovely. Very polite reception team. The extractor did not work in the bathroom so it was impossible to use the mirrors etc for some considerable time after a shower. Had to keep the bathroom door open to vent the room. Temperature of room was impossible to reduce. Didn't want to bring someone in as we got back to the room so late.

Room was extremely cold, I used towels as extra bedding for the children and slept wearing a scarf and gloves. There was an incredible amount of noise outside the window until very late and again early in the morning.

we stayed near christmas time and the hotel was beautifully decorated and felt very christmassy. nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were very comfortable. we were on a shopping and theatre trip and were only 10 mins walk from everything. would not consider anywhere else to stay in the future as this place ticks all the boxes.

It was very central for shopping in Oxford street soho and the west end. Rooms were very small, We travel to London frequently and this is the most I have paid for a hotel yet it was the smallest room we've ever had, the bathroom was outdated and the television was a small portable I expected more for my money.

An elegant hotel in a great and quiet location. Clean and comfortable. Good taxi service to airport. Upgrade the room because of problems with the original one. Helpful staff In spite of high price the efforts to take extra money for: expensive breakfasts, Wi-Fi, etc. Bed smell in the originally designated room.

The Rathbone is a lovely comfortable hotel in an excellent location. It is perfect for sightseeing or shopping and is only about 5 minutes walk from Oxford Street. The nearest tube station is Goodge Street, which is a short walk away from the hotel. There are some lovely pubs and restaurants in the area around the hotel, and despite being so close to everything, it is still in a lovely quiet street. We had a very pleasant stay, so there was really nothing I didn't like about the hotel. Obviously the room was not huge, but it was not bad at all by London standards.

..Probably the most professional staff that I've shared a hotel with in all my travels, but not in an imposing, cold way. There was nothing to suggest that anything was more important than my comfort and nothing done in a way that could be construed as chasing a tip. I especially liked being able to cancel without penalty right up to the day before as my daughter was ill and the trip was touch and go. I thought the hotel was good value with the discount I got [booking.com?] but I wouldn't want to pay full whack but that's because I'm not a rich man. Not a fan of the shower cubicle in the single room.
