In a central, vibrant area of the West End, this boutique style hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from Oxford Street, Soho, Theatreland and within easy reach of London's financial center. Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Hotel is in an excellent location and the staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area and only a short walk from Oxford Street and the West End. Would stay there again.

The staff is friendly, and the room is both clean and quiet, the two most important qualities I look for in a hotel. I think the internet service should be free, in this day and age. Even bed-and-breakfasts I used in Newmarket and Wrexham offer free internet services. The breakfasts can also be more reasonably priced.

To be honest, it was all we could have possibly asked for and the staff were extremly helpful and informative. We have told friends and family that should they want a place to 'hang their hat' whilst in London, then the Rathbone should be seriously considered. Thank you.

This was my second visit in six months, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food is excellent and the area could not be better. We will stay there again, it would always be my first choice. Thank you again Lesley Johnston

Room was clean and comfortable. Convenient location. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Fresh clean cotton bedding. Heat controls that work ( not so in many hotels I have saunaed in. Feel that showers should be thermostatically controlled. Went from just right to cold to burning. Like all Hotels ( and by no means the worst) the breakfasts are relatively expensive (£15 per person). We more than halved this and had a very good breakfast at Garfunkles in nearby Tottenham Court Road.

Apart from the convenient location the Rathbone offers courteous professional service, clean spacious comfortable rooms which feel homely. Free wifi and satalite tv and 10% dinner discount at neighbouring restaurants. There was no provision for smokers outside the hotel

I had a nice friendly welcome by the Rathbone staff,they were very helpful answering my questions. The full english breakfast was excellent and the young man who served myself and my daughter at our table was well mannered and very helpful. The Rathbone should be proud of their staff,we highly recomend them

The hotel is in an excellent location, but off the main roads so nice and quite. Very polite staff. My room was very big by today's standards. The room was seriously in need of updating. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very dated, and showing their age. There was nothing wrong with the room, it just looked tired.

Excellent location, well presented, efficient (if a little clinical and robotic) service on arrival, clean, shower in the bathroom was fab! Smaller and more 'pokey' than I thought. Whilst totally acceptable and appropriate, reception, bar and especially my room was a lot smaller than I thought it might be....the photos are taken very well!!! The bed was too soft - back ache issue!! Would recommend on the basis that you manage your expectations, and get a discouint off the rack rate. And there was no bedroom browser...serious lack of information....

Friendly staff, warm welcome on arrival, buffet bar useful when we arrived before our room was ready, easy access to Oxford & Regent streets and theatres, concierge fetched a taxi for us in inclement weather! We asked for a quiet room and were provided with a compact but very adequate back room and slept well. Free "Mail on Sunday". We were asked to book a time for breakfast which worked well. We do intend to stay there again! Lack of restaurant, though there are several small restaurants nearby which we didn't try.

“Price and affordability given that the location was at oxford circus, within 3 mins walk of the tube and near to the shopping areas. Room was spacious and comfortable with free Wi-fi. The hotel staff was also friendly and helped us to arrange for a cab to the airport when we left on boxing day as there was the tube strike going on.
