The staff were brilliant, late opening bar, well priced and good location

The fact that the did not charge us after checking in at 1am and leaving at 5.30am after they could not control a group of drunks

after calling reception 3 times ( once from an outside line so that they would pick up) to ask them to tell our fellow patrons to be quiet considering it was 3am, 4 am and 5 am when we called we decided to leave the facilities. I would only recommend this hotel if it was your last option and your car was un comfortable to sleep in

Very comfortable stay, and we will probably come again. Large rooms, big bathroom. We were given quiet rooms at the far end of the corridor away from the stag/ hen parties - but actually they were not noisy at all on the premises. Generous variety of food at breakfast.

I had to plug the television into its digital box to make it work, and there were no cups - but I know I could have asked reception for some. Everything else I needed was there. Breakfast: only white bread for the toast, and only one toaster, so there was a queue.

Price was amazing, although I wouldn't pay the normal tariff to stay here. Handy location just off motorway. Rooms were fine if a bit grubby. Booked a single and ended up on a family room!

Rooms were a bit grubby and room doors are a bit of a nightmare to lock. Communal areas are not great, but it has a bar and eating area so has everything you need. Breakfast is reasonable but don't expect huge choice and get it early!

Bed sheets. Would much prefer duvet.

Housekeeping (didn't tidy room or replenish tea/coffee on 2nd day - didn't replace bath towels on 3rd day) - 1* breakfast - no fries eggs, only scrambled - 4* cleanliness of dining area (used serviette under one of the tables and pieces of food under another table for at least 2 days) - 1* fire door propped open with fire extinguisher on first floor, other door left open on ground floor - 0* WILL STAY AGAIN THOUGH, BUT ONLY BECAUSE OF LOCATION, PRICE BUT MOST OF ALL, THE FRIENDLY RECEPTION STAFF

room 206 was excellent. the welcome at reception was excellent and helpful.

an inconsiderate party in the room next door in the early hours - so noisy and had little sleep before an event the following day, but hey ho we've all done it.

The hotel should have a clear warning that if you don't want a good nights sleep and a room that has dirty bed linen then please stay here. The warning signs where we arrived when the hotel had a fine's policy for residents making a noise between 11:00pm and 8:00am. Needless to say that we had approx 4 hours sleep as the noise was continuos from 3:00am - 7:00am and although we tried ringing reception on three occassions the night porter did not bother to answer. Breakfast was also abandoned as we didn't fancy listening to the still drunk group of singles talking about last nights conquests and how many pints they had drunk. Be warned!

The staff - as indeed the vast majority of people in Newcastle - have been exptremely pleasant and helpful. The beds and towels were very clean and new. It was great to be able to go to the bar at any time for a drink or a snack - they've got a deal: lots of things for a fiver, after a long time on the road this was very convenient. The hotel was easy to locate and it has a big free carpark. A very short drive to the city and the Metro centre, though we didn't go there in the end. Thank you, guys, you are the best!

The shower was a bit shabby - but it's not the staff's fault, the bathroom was as clean as everything else.

It was just about OK for the money Room reasonably clean, clean sheets, decent bathroom plenty of hot water & clean towels.

Dated decor, well everything was dated really. We were in a 4 bedded room & had to choose beds carefully, as it happens 2 were ok but the others were knackered! Breakfast was buffet style with good choice & plenty of reasonable food but spoiled by dingy surroundings and pretty poor cleanliness of tables. We couldn't find a clean one nor staff to clean it either. Wouldn't go back!

Personalen var berusad när vi checkade in (dock trevliga och hjälpsamma!). Mycket livlig pub med mycket fylla och prat/skrik i samma hus (kan även vara en bra sak om man är på rätt humör!). Trist frukostlokal.
