Beautiful view from bedroom Large bed
Bathroom needed updating Could hear other guests
The location; the friendliness of the staff; the food in the restaurant and at breakfast; the views from the hotel; the ambience; our room.
Food, open fire, cosy atmosphere, very relaxing break
But further than we thought from the lake
Everything expect wifi connection
Staff were very nice and couldn't do enough to help. Susan and Mike were fantastic and made everyone feel at home. Got all the guests chatting and feeling at home. Beautiful location just outside Keswick and room was spotless. Loved the fact that they had a restaurant and bistro and the food was lovely and beautifully cooked. I had duck and it was a touch overcooked.
We stayed in room 4 and the bathroom was very modern and tastefully done. However, the shower was tiny with barely enough room to turn round. There was enough space to have increased the shower area by at least 10 inches so it was baffling that this wasn't done.
Friendliness, comfort, eye for detail in decor and food.
all was excellent
sometimes a bit noisey as next to the road
Me and my partner loved every second of our stay at the Ravenstone Lodge Country House Hotel. The food, particularly the breakfast were exceptional. Super choice available, really set us up for our days out in Keswick and Grasmere etc... We really appreciated that we had a choice when it came to meals, we could choose whether to eat in a lovely restaurant, or an equally as lovely relaxing bar and bistro. We also loved being able to relax and unwind by the fire, in comfort with a tasty liqueur coffee or 2. Room was very comfortable with a gorgeous view of the Cumbrian mountains and countryside from our window. Thanks to everyone at the Ravenstone for looking after us. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. Darren & Louise, West Midlands
The food and the service was excellent. The rooms where a little small but the bed was extremely comfy and the shower was nice
Wifi availability was not that good.
food was amazing, staff very friendly beautiful views.
Attention to detail and making us feel so welcome
Bathroom needed updating
All the staff were brilliant - their friendliness and service were both second to none. The food was exceptionally delicious, especially the chicken and leek pie which was put on at our request. Thank you chef. We will certainly visit again.
The standard room that we had, though adequate and clean, was too small. We will go for a bigger room next time. Poor or no Wi-Fi away from the conservatory. Potentially dangerous turn-in to the drive from Keswick.
very small room, limited choices for breakfast.
The hospitality enabled us to feel extremely comfortable .The staff were so friendly and approachable. The
The wifi connection was poor.
Staff and location were excellent
Nothing i disliked
We enjoyed the high level of guest care even before we arrived because, in the last few miles of our route to the hotel, we got lost. Thankfully we were talked-in by a terrific receptionist ... twice!
Minor easily-fixed things like a wobbly toilet seat in our room (we reported) and a loose washbasin tap (we forgot to mention) plus (much more significant) a sharp steep hillside bent-elbow entry off (and on) the main road ... of which, clearly, the proprietors will be more than well aware. Absolutely okay arriving from the Carlisle approach but a tricky entry from the Keswick direction.
Great location, excellent food - good friendly service and a warm welcome.
Ambience, comfort,Staff and Meals. Location and peace and quiet
Exit from property to main road very difficult and slightly dangerous
Beautiful location for a lovely place. Great hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and delicious restaurant.
A lovely little friendly cosy accommodation, room was clean and plenty of space for me, food was great and tasty.Close to Keswick and not far from Windermere.
Brilliant room - spacious and an amazing ensuite bathroom with rain shower. The food in the in-house Stables Bistro was first class The walk the next morning through the mist and across the fields to a little church just caped things off perfectly!
Not much - this place is fantastic
The staff were excellent very helpful pleasant and professional the food was very very good with a menu that changed daily and two restaurants to chose from We will definitely be back again
Our room was a little on the small side but still acceptable
Friendly welcome, large clean bedroom, great food.
The hotel was very nice and staff were extremely nice and very helpful. The restaurant was particularly nice and worth a visit on its own.
Our room was a little dated As with so many hotels, the WiFi was a little patchy
Staff we're friendly and location was great a country pub on it's doorstep would make it even better.
Wifi was v.poor.
