staff very friendly and attentive, excellent service at all times. Food is wonderful, brilliant choice of breakfast, evening meals are fantastic , some of the highest quality food I have ever had, and I have stayed in hundreds of 4* and 5 * hotels and eaten in most of Londons top restaurants.

Ravenstone Lodge is in a beautiful location with outstanding views - we dined in the Restaurant on three consecutive evenings and the food was outstanding on every occasion. The staff were friendly and helpful - a fantastic place for a peaceful break!!!

Friendly staff. No pressure or stuffiness. Freedom to come and go at will no matter how late. Food choice limited but adequate and of excellent quality. Would benefit from a table d'hote menu.

The reason for choosing the hotel was the ability to walk straight from the hotel without having to use the car. Views were excellent. The bar area was cosy and original and the breakfast was excellent.

The wall between our room and the next was extremely thin. We were on a walking weekend and went to bed approx 10pm. However the couple next door on both nights came to bed around midnight and it felt as though they were in our room. Not pleasant.

We liked the location, the open airy feel to the hotel and the friendliness of the staff and the meals were excellent.

I thought a draught beer on tap would improve the bar facilities, and my wife thought the window blinds were a bit dated and we had difficulty raising and lowering the blind

It was very quiet and peaceful which is what my husband and I needed. But it wasn't that far from a town if toy wanted one.

The only thing that I thought was that the menu didn't have any chicken, my husband and myself are not big red meat eaters. But what we did have was lovely well presented.

Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful gardens and mountain range views.

Delightful setting, friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Clean and comfortable room. Relaxing atmosphere. Extensive breakfast menu and lovely evening meal with seafood specials.

Nothing to complain about, although if I was being picky the evening menu could have had a couple more options.

We booked a superior room as they advertise them as being larger than average. The picture on the web site of a superior room looked fabulous. On our arrival we were shown to room 2. no way was this a superior room you couldn't swing a cat in it. When I complained I was informed it was a superior room as it had a larger than normal bathroom (who spends their stay in the bathroom) we were offered another room which was even smaller room!!!! We declined, eventually we were given discount off our room for the two nights. When booking a superior room state on your booking you do not want Room 2.
