A very peaceful place. Just what you need after a hectic year. Just perfect. We will be back. Thank you X
Fabulous friendly service, food was excellent quality and great value for money. Building has real character. Parking can be a little tricky but still workable. Recommended, would go back again.
Weak wi-fi to the point of being almost pointless. There is no mobile signal so no alternative either. TV in room was tiny (17" if that), just about watchable.
Excellent facilities and rooms Friendly and helpful staff Quality of the food / wine Location Free Wifi Ample car parking
Restaurant a little quiet and lacked atmosphere during dinner
Fabulous breakfast Staff really friendly and helpful
My 1st ever review, i felt compelled to write this. Beautiful location, stunning facilities, Excellent food & service. We have stayed in the Lador & borrowdale hotel & the ravenstone is head & shoulders above them in every way. In fact our stay in the ravenstone is the best we have had in any hotel & we are pretty hard to please! The owners made us welcome from the get go. Will definately be coming back. Thank you.

Lack of a cask ale - they dont sell enough
Pleasant surprises; fresh milk in the room; a bottle of Radox by the bath; a bath long enough to stretch out in; a sunlit grassy terrace for evening drinks. Staff very helpful;food simple and fresh.
The hotel is set in a magnificant position with views over the lake and fells. It's a lovely old building full of charm and character and spotless. The staff were friendly and obliging, nothing was too much trouble. The food was magnificent and for me, a coeliac, a dream as everything on the menu was Gluten Free! A little more pricy than we would normally pay but well worth it.
It feels really homely and is very comfortable
Parking is a bit tight but there is little they can do about it
Very friendly and helpful staff, food and location excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Very welcoming and comfortable. Well worth a visit
Staff and Comfort were Excellent

Great staff and hotel accommodation was lovely, could not fault it
