Good breakfast, and easy walk to harbour and eateries. Hearing the owner's dog barking on arrival (I'm terrified of dogs) and intermittantly during our stay.

A great place to stay. Really friendly staff (I managed to lock myself outside at 2am and the lady still had a smile when she had to get up to let me in! Sorry again for that!). Good value for money. Room was comfy and homely. En suite was small but had all you need for a budget hotel. Breakfast was good. Location is good too, I was on my own so wanted to be able to walk everywhere. The free parking was really handy, only problem is there are restricted number of spaces but I was lucky and had a spot all three days I was there. The free wifi was good in my room too. Its not The Ritz, but if you like good value in a homely guesthouse with friendly staff, id recomend it. One of the parking spaces was so tight, I was glad there was a mix up with the rental car and I had a smaller then booked car.

Room was very clean and tidied on a daily basis. All towels were changed on a daily basis as requested. Breakfast was excellent and nothing appeared to be any trouble to the staff.

The Japanese food cooked for us by the owners, delicious! No double glazing so could hear the traffic all night.

An all round 10 out of 10 little guest house. Admittedly I got a freebie upgrade to a double en-suite for the same price as my booked single which maybe skews this review but nevertheless I found this place perfect for my requirements. The central location is ideal for everything you could want to do around Torbay. The harbour is just down the road, as is the main shopping centre. For travel further afield the Strand bus stops are similarly located. Immaculate room, comfy bed and spot-on WiFi suitably impressed me as did the general welcomeness of the hosts. Good breakfast too.

Very comfortable, close to everything car was parked right outside door so not far to carry luggage. There was some dust on stairs and being alergic to dust was a little worried but all was ok.

The owner we saw was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is located ideally for the town centre, harbour and coast and was reasonably quiet. Room was clean and decor nice. The ensuite shower room was very small and smelt a bit damp but the shower was good and powerful. The hotel smelt of smoke as soon as we went in and, being non-smokers, this was bit off-putting to start with. Difficult to eliminate as it appeared to come from the owners private rooms. Decor in general was a little tired but in reasonable condition.

We required a central location so we could walk to shops & harbour without breaking the bank & where very pleased with our choice. Typically guest houses in Torquay are old & a little tired but if you accept that our room was great. A family room with the boys bed in a separate room with his own flat screen freeview ideal. Tea making & towels each day & free parking I would have no hesitation in recommending this friendly guest house.

The location was spot on and parking was good. It was really was a "basic" room with cheap pine furniture. The ensuite was cramped when using it with the small sink hanging loose off the wall. The room was however, clean and beds were made daily and towels changed if required. Breakfast was average but the bread (white, as I never had the brown) used for toast on the breakfast table was always cold as though it had come straight from the fridge or freezer and was what I would class as "cheap". Not your Warburtons for sure!! The owners or should I say owner as we only saw Simon (his wife always in the kitchen or cleaning the rooms) was pleasant and ameniable. The garden and pathway to the front was unkempt and the small conservatory to the back was not appealing.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good. I thought it was a great idea to put bread and a toaster in the dining room so you could help yourself. I hate cold toast! The location of the hotel was very convenient for the seafront, restaurants and shopping. Parking and wifi were available at no additional charge. Also they accept dogs and a last minute change of plans meant we had to take our dog with us. It ticked all the boxes!! The wifi did not work very well at all in our room, fortunately we did not have a work emergency to deal with while we were there so this was not a problem.
