Didn't like the broken vase holding the silk flowers at our table in the resturant. Based on you recommendation question, below, it would be unfair to not recommend as we didn'treally see tha whole complex.

Warm cosy fires, beautiful period property in wooded surroundings. Only marginally spoilt by traffic noise from the proximity to the A12 dual carriageway.

Very personal and friendly, very very welcoming. Food was excellent, rooms extremely comfortable and the grounds lovely. The noise from the resturant carried up to the rooms. Too many small rocking horses.

To help overcome all the problems we had with the room, the staff on duty did a great job, and they are to be thanked. As our stay was only 1 night it was bearable, but for the size of room I feel it was overpriced. Guests at a Wedding should have discount on the room.

I loved the setting and the old world charm and comfort of the hotel. I felt some of the younger female staff could have been friendlier.

The scenery of the hotel was just perfect: pure English countryside. Friendliness of the hotel staff was beyond praise - I've travelled a lot but probably never have seen so much personal touch and sincere wilingness to help and make my stay absolutely fantastic. The room, main building and restaurants were exactly as expected - cosy, full of small details and historical artefacts. But attitude of the hotel staff - that what made a real difference, from reception to the owner of this hotel who managed to find time to chat with every guest in the hotel. Note that this hotel is located 3 miles form the closest town (Bury St Edmunds) so better rent a car to get there and travel around.

The thoroughly relaxing atmosphere which seemed like another world it was so tranquil and comfortable. The weekend was a birthday surprise for my husband and we thoroughly enjoyed our room in the Mews, the excellent food and timeless ambience. We hope to return.

We Found the Staff very helpfull. The Manor is very charming and old worldly and beautifull. The grounds are magnifisent and beautifully cared for.It was a picture of a place for weddings and celebrations.Which was happening every day we were there. We took our little dog who may I say was very well behaved. They accomodated him in a friendly way. The only thing We found dissapointing was our room it was quite small. The patio area was just an out side space shared withothers who had to pass our door all the time.It was also very close to the out side venue area, for fir works ect.It did not look the same on their vidio , everything was very old and not set out well.

The hotel is a unique hotel with superb grounds and a wonderful historical feel to it. The artwork although unusual fitted in with the character as did the staff. The room was clean and well designed as would have been expected in a 15th century built hotel. Vegetarian menu limited.

this hotel gives you everything you need if you look for a hotel in typical British style. It brings you back in the good old English tradition but with all contemporary needs. The furniture and decoration are in good balance with the atmosphere of the hotel. The staff is impeccable. An ideal place to visit on an oldtimer car trip or for a romantic weekend.

Eekhoorntjes, konijntjes, mooie tuin, a la carte ontbijt, romantisch eten, indrukwekkende bomen, vriendelijke dienstverlening, betoverende kamers, gratis upgrade naar suite-main. Wat een beleving! De kamers waren erg gehoorig, maar als dat het enige is...
