Main reason I booked the hotel were price, internet access and that room offered was 'larger room'. In fact the room was so small that the door couldn't be opened fully because of the wardrobe. The internet access kept breaking down.

I didn't like anything about the Hillingdon Prince, the room was tiny and hadn't had a clean. Disgusting place.

Some of the most helpful staff anywhere. The hotel has a welcoming and can-do attitude. There are signs all over the hotel saying its ok to bing in take-away, and how to get stuff cheap. The people in this hotel want to help you, and not empty your wallet. For a stay on a reasonable I would rate this place among the very best in the UK. Thanks guys.

The hotel staff is friendly. wifi works well. breakfast was not a full breakfast, you should pay extra for even eggs, and there was only a single choice of cheese.

Breakfast was very pleasant with a friendly service. Unfortunately the room was hot ,as I had to open the window all night and the bathroom was dirty and old. The shower was not up to scratch.

The staff on in the evening that I arrived could not have been more friendly helpful and welcoming. From taking me to my room to providing a delicious meal at 9.39pm. Would have to say the February on reception in the morning could have taken lessons I didn't realise breakfast was not on until 8am and that was no use as I started work at 8. I asked for a refund for the breakfast which he refused saying is have to get it from booking.com. my response was that the hotel takes the money not booking.com. he eventually organised cereal tea and toast.

It was close to where I was going but being disabled being firstly put out the back 3 flights of stairs up in what I can only describe as a bedsit was totally unsuitable I ordered a double room I was put in a twin , the room was badly maintained paper hanging off wall shower you couldnt stand up in if you wanted to because of roof , I was moved to a double room but if you put photos on the internet of a room they should match the room otherwise its false advertising , if I was the sort of person to take this further I would not only receive a full refund but you would get repremanded by the hotel watchdog I hope you take my constructive critisism in the right way thanks

Needed to stay in Reading overnight. Hotel in my opinion is excellent value for money. Staff were really friendly and although some of the decor was a little tired at £39.00 (room only) in Reading with parking it was great value. The bathroom although 70s advocado in colour was clean as was the bed and linnen. Plus arriving back late there was a pleasant night receptionist on duty. Place felt secure. Will definately use again.

Internet free and worked well. Front desk occupied almost always. Some plates and cutlery, large fridge, and microwave in room, enabling having small meals there. Ample electrical outlets. Hot water available fast. Correct tidying of room. Halfway between town and the university, both walkable, although it takes about 20 min to town. There is a bus (lines 20, 21). The carpets could be replaced as could be the old linoleum-style floor in the bathroom.

The decor is dated generally. When I got to my room I was disappointed, it might have been fashionable in the 70'S. The sound on the television did not work and it also kept switching itself off.

for the price it was a fair hotle. The room was clean if a little tired. the range of breakfast options was good We were a little disappointed that there were no evening meals served except small bar snacks. However, as we were visiting relatives, they recommended good eateries in the area.

Clean rom with fridge, microwave and tv. Comfortable bed. Good (not brilliant) breakfast. Get what you pay for in most respects. Disappointed that after the reception was closed, or at least appeared to be we found the air conditioning did not work and the room was very hot. When I reported this when checking out the receptionist..i did not take note of his name.. said oh yes I know sir it hasnt worked since I started work here. If this was the case why make it available to guests, or at least inform them the air conditioning is not working so that if no other room is available they can look elsewhere.

“I had stayed at the Quality Inn before for a similar break. I had no hesitation in re-booking for a Sat - Sun stay and I was not disappointed. I used the hotel as a base for a trip to watch London Irish and then did shopping on Sunday with a local friend. I was given an upgrade to a double room on arrival which was a pleasant surprise and the hotel suited my needs perfectly. Courteous, helpful staff, a comfortable room with a good shower and a hearty breakfast. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation. DA” David, Peterborough |
