Good stay. Large family get together with meal on Saturday evening with excellent meal in restaurant. Attentive staff. Hot plates for hot food (essential) at breakfast only on one morning. Would prefer tea and coffee to be served at the table rather than from a machine/flask. There appeared to be enough staff to do this. Bedrooms and beds could be refreshed/renewed.

Only stayed one night, but was very pleasant, breakfast was good too! Plates could have been warm for the cooked food though. I would stay again. Thanks.

Signs in rooms say fire alarms are (basically) too sensitive. Fire alarm went off on Sat morning (false alarm). However the chaos and fiasco that ensued matched no other I have ever experienced. Breakfast was 7.50 each for the privilege of standing waiting at the buffet for the food. Everything was empty- no coffee no orange juice, no basic cooked breakfast items. Whole idea of buffet is so we don't have to wait! There were no tables available and when we finally got one, the staff cleared it away! Check in in the evening was painfully slow.

Lovely location Very poor breakfast, service was disorganised and had to wait 10 minutes for the buffet as food had run out, no bread to toast and quality of the food was poor. We were unable to eat an evening meal in the restaurant as it was full, we were not informed we had to book a table.

Location and the pub next door. Thought the room wasn't very well equipped, no mini fridge. Also, quite a lot of noise from the road, other rooms and corridors got into the room despite all doors and windows being shut.

We stayed at he Best Western Reading Moat House as a stop off point as we were travelling further on the following day, we didnt actually reach the Moat House till late so we didnt really get much of an idea as to what facilities there were. The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Full breakfast or continental breakfast was extra if you required it, we had the continental which was filling for us. All in all a very nice stay! :-) the pillows were a bit hard! :-(

Quite a nice hotel not outstanding but good value for money (£59ppn) Very convenient for Reading and the m4 which was handy for me as I was visiting friends in Earley which is close to the hotel. Quite a nice quiet location considering proximity to Reading and M4.The room was confortable and one thing I did like was power points just above the desk very convenient for laptop and kettle unlike other places where they are down at floor level away from the desk. I found booking through Great Western website frustrating so I used a generic hotel booking website instead. I though the towels and toilet tissue could be of better quality and the information pack could do with updating. The pack has a section on modems which in these days of wifi and 3g is not necessary and shows how old it is.
