Staff very accomodating Needed early access to room(11;00am) and taxi booking prior to arrival for family gathering with which staff duly obliged.Most helpful. Good location and quiet. Hotel had to be evacuated at 03;00hrs due to guest smoking in room activating alarms and fire service checking until safe. Well dealt with by staff. Beds a little too firm for our liking. Breakfast not too warm.

Convenient location Only 2 handlicap parking spaces - are you kidding? About 50% of the time, we couldn't park there as both were already taken (and on one occasion. By a car with no handicap plaque, about which, the staff aparently did nothing even after I had notified them about it - as it was still there a good part of the next day!) Hiding the 2nd person's towels in the wardrobe. WHY? We booked a DOUBLE room and you knew we were a couple and needed towels for 2, didn't you? Sheesh! Turning off the bathroom extractor fan late at night and during the day - I know we all want to save power but puhleease!! There has to be a better idea than just turning it off. People sometimes need to use the bathroom at night and/or during the day!

Nice big modern room Stroppy helpful staff. Overcharged. Room service took 1hr 20 minutes for a ham sandwich. Stupid menu system for ordering food. Thin walls. None of the candidates on my course enjoyed their stayed. Rubbish hotel. Over priced.

Quite a nice hotel not outstanding but good value for money (£59ppn) Very convenient for Reading and the m4 which was handy for me as I was visiting friends in Earley which is close to the hotel. Quite a nice quiet location considering proximity to Reading and M4.The room was confortable and one thing I did like was power points just above the desk very convenient for laptop and kettle unlike other places where they are down at floor level away from the desk. I found booking through Great Western website frustrating so I used a generic hotel booking website instead. I though the towels and toilet tissue could be of better quality and the information pack could do with updating. The pack has a section on modems which in these days of wifi and 3g is not necessary and shows how old it is.

Lovely location Very poor breakfast, service was disorganised and had to wait 10 minutes for the buffet as food had run out, no bread to toast and quality of the food was poor. We were unable to eat an evening meal in the restaurant as it was full, we were not informed we had to book a table.

The lounge was very comfortable and pleasant to sit and enjoy an evening drinking and chatting. The breakfast did not stand up to my expectations as I have had breakfast there before and it was excellent. This time it had been standing far to long and everything was either hard or dry (shame) I shall be arriving again in 2weeks for a longer stay which will include dinner so I hope we will not be disappointed.

The convenience of its location for visiting family. The room's decoration is pleasant. As always with a buffet breakfast, the hot food is always lukewarm. The bath panel in our bathroom was looking tatty and needed replacing.

“I liked that it was in a good location, close to the town centre and on a main road that meant it was easy to find. The price was reasonable and when we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The main gentleman on reception was very kind and spoke to my daughter and me with respect and gave my daughter a gift bag which pleased her very much.
