Breakfast should be included in the price of stay , not as an extra
Comfort of the rooms Attentive Staff Good all round service
Overall a very pleasant short stay, would return for a holiday break.Staff extremely pleasant and main house beautifully furnished.
Breakfast not available for an early start, before 8 00 am. Breakfast 8---9am,fine if you are a tourist, but not for an early business appointment Noticeable traffic noise from the motorway in the gardens----but not in the house.
Lovely breakfast conservatory. Food beautifully set out. Room totally comfortable. Proprietor friendly and helpful. In peaceful rural setting although not far from M11 you could not see or hear a car!
Nothing not to like.
Lovely location Very positive welcome
Only constructive comment would be to have an easy chair in the room as it was a large room but only bed or desk chair to sit on
Swimming pool- footpath to village- lovely choice of food at breakfast. Beautiful furnishings and close toCambridge
Surrounding grounds lovely. Would not know you were very close to the M40. Nice tidy and clean room (smaller then we thought it would be from photos though) Great location, nice walk to Cambridge -very flat all the way. ..
Not being able to booking in until 4pm. Communication was not very good. Fan in bathroom was on all the time even with light off, not good if you got very good hearing. .
Property is lovely and the house has a typical English ambience. There is a lovely tree lined driveway and the accommodation is clean. The Park and Ride bus is nearby so easy to visit to Cambridge.
We stayed in the Lodge which is a separate property within the grounds. we had my Sister with us so it made it more cost effective for her not to have to pay for a single room. But whilst it does make it clear the Lodge is in need of renovation, we felt that it should be updated as a matter of urgency.
Wonderful location. Excellent value for money. Amazing staff
Roger Pool Grounds Location Traditional feel Modern chalet
Really nice rooms and staff, incredibly picturesque with animals roaming the fields, through which a very nice pub is just a ten minute walk. The facilities are great as well, with a pool and tennis court, breakfast and bar. Highly recommended!
Quiet, warm and secluded B&B in a very convenient 'out of town' location just ten minutes from the centre of Cambridge.
Wifi internet was a little sporadic and the bed mattress could have been a little firmer but that of course is personal taste
Excellent value for money great customer service highly recommendable
Excellent B&B a few miles outside Cambridge. Park & Ride within easy walking distance for an easy journey into Cambridge. Excellent accommodation in pleasant surroundings. Very good pub within 10 minutes walk with excellent restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Breakfast not included and it is expensive a an extra, but if you don't want to pay for it there are plenty of alternatives in Cambridge.
Countryside views are wonderful. House is pretty and with strong character. Staff are very kind and helpful.
We stayed in a family room with a double bed and a sofabed. Sofa was not confortable enough for two people. We had to place the matress on the floor to get some rest. I would not recommend this option for a 4 members group staying in same room. Instead I would go for two double rooms. Room was cold since windows could not be properly closed and air came from outside. Location is not bad, but car or any other transportation is needed to get Cambridge downtown. Wifi is very bad.
Beautiful buildings and surroundings. Comfy room and bed Excellent breakfast Friendly staff
Arrived early as going to wedding. No one available and nowhere open apart from outside toilet which was not very clean.
Overall very positive opinion, clean, well located etc.
Breakfest overpriced. Ok if you take the standard cold one (10 £) but if you want also an omellette, say 2 eggs, some bacon, mushrooms etc., extra 10 £ are charged. This seems unjustified as usually already included in the breakfest price not exceeding 15 € in many other places.
The bus stop was just down the drive and it was very easy to catch the bus into Cambridge therefore avoiding the hassle of trying to find somewhere to park. There is a nice pool here although it is outside it is heated, but you do need a warm day to take advantage of this.
The breakfast was expensive.
location was beautiful including gardens meadows etc
internet very poor bed was a disaster, after reporting to the staf no action what so ever to correct or at least to apologize staf was not customer oriented at all, individual staf members wanted to be more flexible and service oriented but management would not allow any flexibility ( a cup of coffee outside in the sun was non discussable) breakfast window between 0900 and 0100 is not anymore of the this century All in all excellent location but very poor management.
Clean modern facilities in a country setting. Superb breakfasts. Easy access to Cambridge and the M11.
Tiny sign at the entrance - missed it first time past!
I liked the location along with the premises and facilities on offer
The man who checked us in was extremely grumpy almost as if he didn't want us there, very cold and baron
Nice quiet location and lovely setting. Rooms comfortable and clean.
No air conditioning and room was small with limited headroom in parts. Very hot and uncomfortable for sleeping though it was a hot summer night.
This B&B exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. It was more like a hotel than a B&B.
I wouldn't say that I didn't like the following but they are recommendations - Glasses in the room for drinking water and a power point near a mirror for hair drying (I stayed in room 13A).
Nice garden, friendly staff, main house is very nice
-check in not before 4pm, breakfast between 8 and 9 am and check out before 10 am. Not much time to spend there this way!
It is a very nice location when you would stay at this location. However....
you don't stay in the main building but in the building next door which is nicely done, however the rooms are VERY small. Internet is not working in this second building. The stay is nice, however not value for money (in the high season).
