“ When we first pulled up at the gate we thought we were in the wrong place. The grounds and building were beautiful. I could not believe we got it so cheap. The grounds were stunning. The swimming pool was nice just to sit next to and have coffee. The gardens were lovely to take a stroll around. ”

Just excellent all round. Very good quality bed and lovely bathroom and carpets. Really beautiful grounds and design of the buildings. Everything was great although the check out requirement of 10am is somewhat early compared to the usual 11am and we got a knock at the door at 9.15am which was an unwelcome wake up call. A cooked breakfast option would make this place perfect

Driveway, sheep, lovely grounds Bed The chalet lacked a little warmth. Internet did not work in our room or the common area of the chalet.

The location near Cambridge and a good local gourmet pub was good. The grounds are quite nice and there a few things for children to do. We stayed in the "lodge" which has not been renovated since it was built some time in the mid 20th century. Although this was not too much of a problem and everything worked, the back glass doors are about to fall out from their frames and the mushrooms growing up through the floor were certainly amusing. The biggest disappointment was that no cot was available for our baby and so had to sleep on the floor. We travelled through Europe for a month and stayed in 7 different establishments and this was the only one that refused the request. Overall a bit disappointing.

good size rooms, easy to park and relatively close to bus stop to go into city, free wifi, exceptionally good breakfast, very responsive staff. in the chalet building the kitchen area smells and nothing is available for e.g. take-away dinners; pedestrian access to the building is not very easy as there is no pavement near traffic light on the very busy road.

Upgraded room in main house was spacious and very clean, charming if a little old fashioned. Some way out of town, and someway from pubs or restaurants for evening meals

We had a fantastic friendly welcome by very helpful polite staff. Our room was spacious with a lovely huge comfortable bed, great shower and the room/bathroom were spotless. The location is excellent, situated seconds off the M11 it's really easy to find and once your go down the long driveway you would never guess how close you are to the motorway. It's only a few minutes drive into the city centre and less than a minute drive to the park and ride. We would definitely stay here again.

We found the location very easy to get to and very convenient for a visit into Cambridge centre. The staff at Rectory Farm were very welcoming and informative, our room was upgraded on arrival without asking for this so that was a nice suprise. We booked this room with a promotional discount and was pleased with the price that we paid and would certainly stop there again. Although there seemed to be a good choice we didnt opt for the breakfast as we thought it was a bit expensive for a continental.

We stayed in the lodge, which was perfect space for us with our 3 older children. We were just staying one night, and chose Rectory Farm rather than a hotel, because we could have separate bedrooms and a sitting room to relax in. Hotel facilities, but more relaxed for our family We enjoyed the walk along the Coton Footpath into Cambridge. It was nice to be in a country location, but close enough to walk into the centre of town. Nice to be able to walk into Coton too, although we did not do this for this visit. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. WiFi available, although we didn't use it. Plenty of clean towels, toiletries, tea and coffee. Excellent information about the area. Out of town, but accessible without a car (a short walk from the Park and Ride or 40 minutes along the Coton path). For leisure travellers, 10am was early to be out.

I loved being in the Cottage and having a wee bit of space after so many cramped accomodations in the uk; I realize that being from Canada, we are accustomed to more space in accomodation when travelling with family but lack of space and generally high cost of finding family-friendly digs, is very hard in the uk at times. The cottage allowed us all a proper bed and a fab night's sleep. It was dead quiet and breakfast, although overpriced was good. Cost of breakfast too high when selecting merely the continental- otherwise delicious.

The surrounding area and the buildings themselves where very picturesque, the hotel is in a beautiful location and the challet in which we stayed was lovely, it felt as though we had the place to ourselves and the room itself was smart but also very cosy. It was more of an enjoyable experience than staying in a chain hotel as this place has lots of character. The fact that i was charged £4 for using an ice bucket which we didn't actualy use because there was no ice, slightly tarnished an otherwise delightful stay.

Beautiful main house where we had breakfast. Chalet accommodation finished to a high standard. Two lounge areas beautifully furnished and delightful gardens. Walks possible, but we liked the location being near a Park and Ride, so that access to Cambridge was easy without having to pay exorbitant car parking charges.

Beautiful Country House property, close to Cambridge city centre, either by Park and Ride or Taxi. Plenty of car parking at secure property. Ideal for all types of traveller. Relaxed feeling. Felt more like a hotel then B and B - actually feel the term B and B does Rectory Farm an injustice. The Clubrooms in the Chalet are a little on the small side, but these are the cheaper rooms. Catching site of the Suites whilst they were cleaned, makes you realise this. However, if you want a larger room - book one!! There really wasn't any negatives.
