Excellent support and help when needed....... Welcoming pub Clean and functional and close to good fish and chip shop and other village shops
The owner kindly gave us a lift to the wedding reception as the local taxi was late. He also allowed us to get dressed for the wedding in our room early even though it was not quite ready yet (we arrived a tad earlier). Very friendly and lovely pub. We wish we could have spent more time hanging out with the locals.
Friendly and cooperative staff. The facilities are very good and it's a good value for money. Overall highly recommended.
May be just need to look at the cleanliness of the rooms.
Great little pub very friendly people. Good chip shop over the road which was lovely. We have just booked to stay here again
The location was great. A small country pub has much more warmth and character than a large ,modern hotel or motel.
A chair in the room would have helped. I had to do quite a bit of typing and the small stool became quite uncomfortable.
The owners were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Room perfect. Enjoyed our stay and can't wait to make a return visit.
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was lovely with lots of space. Good value for money and in the perfect location for our visit to Delamere Forest. Local pubs and shops very nice as well- amazing chippy across the road!
Friendly hosts, comfy bed.
Carpet could have done with a clean.
Really liked the owners who made us feel very welcome and the locals who used the bar were extremely friendly.
Nice decor, the staff gave a good welcome and then gave you space- flexible about when you could come back and key use. Nice area with boutiques, nice bistro/bar nearby with friendly staff- we went for a Wedding nearby.
on a main road, so you could hear traffic,
The HUGE bed was so comfortable best hotel bed we've ever stayed it and the room was so clean including the immaculate bathroom
The only down side is not having a breakfast service I think this would help the business tremendously
The people who own the pub as well as the locals within it were so friendly and welcoming. We will be staying here again next year for Bolesworth International without hesitation. Well done guys.
Great friendly staff and great beer. Really comfortable big bed, I'm 6'5" so very important to me. Ideal location for visiting Oulton Park.
A quaint village pub with roomy accommodation, very comfortable bed, large bathroom and the friendliest bar around. Great Chinese restaurant within walking distance.
Add a continental breakfast and it'd be perfect!!!
Old quirky building whith lots of character. Very friendly staff and people in the bar.
room was a little cold. I think it would be fine in the winter when the radiators would be on.
I was doing a sponsored bike ride across the country and this was my last and favourite stop. Had a very warm welcome and nice room with big bathroom. Friendly owners and people in the pub- they even did a whip round to raise me extra money for the charity. Would definitely recommend!
Friendly staff made us feel welcome from start to finish.
Bells from church chiming on the hour and every 1/4 hour after that but I suppose that's country life
Very warm welcome from staff. Extremely clean and comfortable. Spacious room with good facilities. Convenient check in / out times.
It was cold (the weather was beyond the owner's control), but an option of heating would have been appreciated.
En suite bathroom good family room good facilities comfortable beds pleasant area friendly staff lots of tea and coffee supplies!
Pub could be noisy in the night as customers left The room needs a chair
The best welcome we have received in England
Superbly comfortable bed - good pillows. (No bothersome noise from pub, or from church bells, in this room 4). Nice unfussy room in old building. Spacious bathroom. Pleasant, helpful staff.
Nothing negative, except the niggly omission noted in hotels of all standards - there should be somewhere convenient and dry (other than a small glass shelf) to park one's toilet bag / shaver bag etc in bathroom. And maybe a peg on the bathroom door. NB Coffee Pot next door is not open for breakfast on Mondays.
Great staff who came out to let me check in early and made sure that I knew where to catch the bus to Chester. Very friendly and I would come back again with friends.
no food facilities. not even breakfast. OK there was some very local but when I book a hotel I do expect at least breakfast.
There was nowhere to sit in the room except on the bed. There was very noisy music from the bar below until quite late.
the room was homely and very comfortable
room needed a litttle attention to detail.electric socket for tv loose and shorting out.no glasses in bathroom . no heating regulator in room.bedside lamps need updating and use of double plug for socket as same one as hairdryer.possible packet of biscuits with tea/coffee tray.
