Once I'd found the heating controls and got the sauna like conditions to subside, it was great. The hotel is on a very busy dual carriageway, but was extremely quiet inside, and I had an undisturbed night's sleep - quite unusual these days! All the staff I met were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very pleasant if a little dear, but the service was top class.

Nice style - hotel and pub. Much better than staying in a genetic hotel. Plus free wifi - hotels that charge for wifi really annoy and this doesn'T.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Free parking available. Nice building and adjacent pub is nicely decorated. Beds are quite small and hard. Rooms are O.K. but could use an update.

I frequently stay in the Red Lion Hotel while visiting my daughter in Brunel University. I find it consistent in standards and service. It has am old world charm and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant menu was particurlarly good on my last visit.

We stayed here last weekend and was very impressed. The hotel was very smart, check in receptionist was very friendly, had a lovely good sized room with trouser press, iron, hairdryer, fridge, seating area and also nice tv! Also very fresh and clean. Good location for going in to Uxbridge or London. No real negatives, only slight problem was that corridors to rooms are bit like a maze, no problem for me, but some people might get lost!

Staff were welcoming and helpful, room was clean and comfy, bar meal beer and then breakfast all met or exceeded our expectation. Rare to find free wifi that provided a fast connection without dropouts (we were !st floor towards centre of the building). We were given a standard double room on checkin, as one had become available. We travel with business a fair amount, and when we need accommodation in the area again, this will be our choice.

We stayed here as it was very handy for a function we were going to at Brunel University. The rooms were really decent. There was no wow factor (it would be great if the rooms reflected the more stylish decor of the public areas) but they looked fine, were very clean, comfortable, and had everything you needed. The bathroom was well designed and everything worked well. We have a super comfortable bed at home, and are hard to please in this respect, but we both slept surprisingly well. The only bug bear was being woken at 6 or 7 on Sunday morning by slamming doors of, presumably, other guests leaving. We had a good breakfast served by helpful staff. All in all, very relaxing.

We had excellent service; as we were meeting family we had a luncheon reunion for 4 and a dinner reunion for 9 : each was exceptional. From the food to the service to the facilities - could not fault it. Reception staff very happy to oblige if possible, extended our check out free of charge, would recommend to local relatives for meals and overseas travellers for accommdation/meals.

We liked the location and proximity to be able to travel to Wembley and London easily . Because many people would travel to London from this hotel maybe it would be an idea to supply dailly travel bus and tube passes at discounted rates . I am sure , especially when there is an event at Wembley , this would encourage more people to recommend this hotel to others

All members of the hotel staff who we encountered were extremely polite, attentive and efficient. This is more important than almost anything else to me and The Red Lion excelled in that respect. Of course, the hotel itself is extremely attractive and the standard of accomodation is amongst the best.

I booked The Red Lion Hotel because of the location, perfect for my business. Big rooms even for a single room, nice and clean. Just the lack of elevator caused me some trouble as I am travelling with big and heavy suitcase and I was at the 2nd floor.

“When we are using Heathrow Airport, we always stay at the Mehfil. It is easy to get to either by car (free parking) or by train from the airport terminal. Our other main reason for staying here is the superb Indian food in their attached restaurant -- we always look forward to it!” Karen, Honolulu, Hawaii |
