Clean, friendly, wonderful english breakfast and a great countryside location.

en-suite toilet was smaller then a single wardrobe, no division from washing facility to bedroom, storage of units between bedroom & dining area, stairs to bedroom dangerously steep. (but in fairness to the property, it is well over a hundred years old.)

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and provided us with an alternative early breakfast packed meal to cater for our very early start the following day.

Decor was a tad tired and dated.

The owners were pleasant and helpful. They voluntarily removed the cost of a meal from our bill because the steak was tough. The location was convenient for us.

The roms and the hallways leading to them were inadequately cleaned. The carpets were dirty, the dusting was sketchy, cobwebs were everywhere. It seemed that a bare minimum had been done to ensure the beds were clean and the decor would be ok at first glance.

Bathroom in room 1 needs a lot of work. Peeling wallpaper, wobbly basin and very dated-looking

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room size very good and view from room of orchard and fields just what we wanted. Lovely and tranquil. Evening meal very good for price and choice.

Bathroom could do with decoration/upgrading. Shower not very fast, BUT it was still a great place to stay.

Carpets need replacing and properly fitting bathroom s cleaned properly hair in the sink dirty shower. Old furniture in walk way. A few changes would make this a great place for business travellers to stay.

The staff were friendly and obliging and the food excellent. I liked the quiet location.,the ease of parking and the relaxed atmosphere.The room was of a generous size and comfortable and I was provided with a bath as requested.

The bedroom and bathroom decor was very tired and needed re-decorating. The heating was provided by a portable electric heater which although effective seems a little unusual these days.

Location / quiet position / old character charm.

Dirty carpets, old decoration , old beds, poor quality bathroom, hanging off wall paper, poor quality fixings.

Rooms were tired, no central heating, bathroom poor, walls so thin I felt I was sleeping with the guy in the next room - but unfortunately couldn't kick him to stop him snoring! So didn't sleep well.

Friendly welcome and service. Good menu, good evening meal.

The Red Lion is a lovely old pub/restaurant with rooms separate in a converted out building overlooking an orchard. The rooms we stayed in (1 & 2) were comfy and done in an older style to go with the beams in the building. The bathrooms had coloured suites with corner bath & shower over, tea & coffee making facilities and an electric heater to keep us cosy. The food in the evening and for breakfast was superb! Probably the best steak I've ever had, and the most delicious mushrooms! Service was excellent too, and the landlord, Bob, was very friendly and welcoming. A lovely, quiet place to stay. Highly recommend it!

God where do i start! Carpets dirty , burgundy toilet with carpet round it, burgundy sink with carpet round it. Shower dark and pokey ,absolute terrible silicone sealing around shower tray, water came up the shower plug hole when i put water down the sink , no light in the shower. Heater broken and no radiators on. Corridor to rooms cluttered and musty smelling Breakfast ok though

Friendly staff, comfortable, good food, ideal location for a trip to Woburn golf club, all at a fair price.

Room was a bit cold (although a portable heater was provided to address this).
