Great value and location
Walls are a bit thin so you can hear everything in the next room.
Evening meal very pleasant and also enjoyed the quiz.
No breakfast available. Would have been happy to pay extra, but was told it wasn't available
People were very friendly. Very good bar food in the evenings and good value.
Bed was the smallest ever and difficult to sleep. Room and toilet extremely small.
Friendly, functional and no strings. Value was excellent.
Room was very basic ,Shower leaked over the bathroom floor . The blind at the bedroom window did not work .The bed was probably the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on ,There is no mirror in the room so doing your hair or makeup is very difficult . The room is very dated and needs decorating quite badly Truthfully you can stay in nicer hotels for the same cost ,wouldn't recommend it at all
I couldn't stay at home for this price, highly recommend
Location, value for money pub grub, pub atmosphere, the couple that own the location were very friendly and helpful.
Bathroom was slightly primitive but usable.
The best breakfast I have ever had
Location Friendly staff
Lack of wifi Coffe no cup? No sugar
location to work
needs refurb despertately
Very nice place Lovely food Lovely staff Even fix my phone Thanks
Going back to the kids
Good parking. Beer fine.
The venetian blind control rod was broken. No adjustment was possible to the blind. The mirror was resting on the wc pan on the opposite wall to the basin. There were beverage stains on the wall and skirting. There was no "standard" coffee granules. The toilet roll holder was placed on the floor below the basin. Whilst eating my evening meal I was informed that my table was required by customers attending a quiz night. The food was "just about passable" There was no breakfast provided.
Staff were very friendly. Beer was good. Picturesque little village.
Room was very small and didn't look clean. Carpets well past their best. No soap. Wifi didn't work in the room. No food being served on the first night (because it was a Sunday). No other eateries in the village. Second night (a Monday) was quizz night in the pub, so was busy and noisy. My room faced onto the rear yard where customers went to smoke, which meant (as it was hot so I had the window open) that it was noisy until closing time. Considering the price was the same as a travel lodge, I was very disappointed.
Good parking, nice freshly cooked food in the pub, friendly host and hostess, TV/DVD and tea making facilities in room.
Microwaved pudding, noisy beer garden (yes, world cup football might have made this an exception), bathroom not as clean as it could have been. WiFi coverage very patchy.
Great location in centre of Sapcote, nice beer garden to enjoy the sunshine. Friendly staff, fast check in. Very comfortable beds. Room was very basic but it was clean & comfortable. No noise at night, very peaceful
No staff around in the morning when checking out. Our friend who stayed in a single room had to leave the key on a ledge and hope they found it!
good car parking, nice pub downstairs and coop a few yards away. pretty village. friendly host.
Friendly staff, free wi-fi
No toileteries, coffee, tea, kettle and milk but no cup!!
The hotel is reasonably good value for the price. I stayed in a single, en-suite room. It was pretty basic but was sufficient for my needs. The staff are really friendly as are most of the locals. A lot of activities appear to be laid on in the evenings with food being generously provided by the landlord and landlady. They have Quiz Nights on Monday and Wednesday, separated by an Irish Music Night, featuring a live band. All three are excellent evenings. Thursday night however, appears to have been seen aside for darts matches and forThe Village Idiots Night - this evening is well worth avoiding
I didn't appreciate what appeared to be The Village Idiots Night on Thursday. This included a foul-mouthed local who was clearly incapable of expressing himself without swearing.
Wifi signal was poor and painfully slow noise from the pub downstairs late at night
outside decor doesnt look good, particularly unimpressed by unfilled ashtrays near to entrance, which on a monday afternoon, when the pub was closed should have been empty.
Not much we were surposed to spend two nights but omly staying one night . We were very disappointed with the location and the fact the bar didnt open during the day .
The list is long
Comfy bed and very helpful with my dog
TVdid not work. No signal
The staff were nice and friendly and the food in the bar good. it was only £29 but still expected a little more for my money.
The single room was so small, and the bathroom a cupboard. The toilet wouldn't stop flushing and had to mend it each time I used it. It is the noisiest place I've ever stayed in. Huge regular crashed, no idea what they were.
Cliff & Jane were so friendly & helpful, I couldn't fault the Red Lion. Even the locals made you feel welcome in the bar. I would stay here again & had a really good time. Thanks!
Friendly staff, made us feel at home.
