Staff very helpful. Food excellent. Room comfortable and clean
The area the hotel was in was suitable the hotel was very pleasant the staff were helpfull
The breakfast was very good and the rooms spacious
I did not like being woken up by staff slamming the entrance door to my section at about 5am and rummaging In some supply room next to my room. On checking out I told them and despite me telling them I had actually looked outside my door to see what was with all the noise they did not believe me. I would not have bothered paying such a high price for a hotel to get so little sleep. Once woken up the windows must not have been double glazed as my room was set on the main road and I could clearly hear every single car/lorry/bus that went past
All staff were friendly and pleasant and very welcoming
Friendly staff very accomadating
Everything except the heat
Room far too hot even turned radiator off but was still on
Not a lot
Curtains hanging down dirty bath and floor only one seat Poor lighting and a general feeling of neglect perhaps room 18 was an exception I hope so as we will not be coming back and I really feel that we were conned
nice hot room-good breakfast
hard bed didnt suit us
Dirty cobwebby room, broken fittings, really grubby entrance, Significant noise outside until 1pm, unnecessarily aggressive lady manager in bar area. Etc
Rooms are comfortable and breakfast reasonably good value and service. Good central village location.
We stay here every year on Boxing Day, to be near my family. It is fairly basic accommodation. The bar in the hotel isn't very cosy, the seating arrangements could do with a rethink. Nice open fire, but not always lit.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. As I was visiting from abroad the free WiFi was a necessity and I was delighted that the hotel provided that at no cost.
To say I didn't like is not a true statement, but as this survey doesn't give you the choice I have to write my comments here. I know the rooms are slowly being renovated but while all rooms are not yet completed, the cost of the rooms that have not yet been done should reflect this. Otherwise I was totally delighted with the hotel!
Good staff in reception, bar and restaurant all English (except for a lone Scot but she spoke English). Bedroom well fitted out with ap period touch as one expects in an old inn.
WiFi was slow. The smokers area can be heard from our room but as it was a cold night not many lingered.
The noise of the beer garden, going on till 1am, this is the second time this has happened, I shall not be returning or recommending
Notes on how to use the spa bath!!!

Good Pub Food
The room we were in is due for a refurb
The chicken with the chips was small and full of bones, bigger would have been better!
Perfect location for RAF Halton Clean
Bathroom needed a bit of TLC
Looking dated, rooms need a makeover
very nice breakfast pleasant staff
Room and location good. Nice place.
We requested and paid for continental breakfast to be put in our room on the evening as we were checking out early for the airport. We never received anything or any communication regarding it. Disappointed.
