Fabulous,
Score from 123 reviews
“ Friendly staff, comfortable lounge, bar and dining facilities and spacious room. Hosts were both more than helpful. Menu and meals were unexpectedly good. Beautiful location. ”

The AA Rosette-awarded restaurant at The Red Lion has oak floors and river views, and features a traditional menu of local produce. Parts of the bar date back to the 1500s, and a range of drinks are served. Location Lack of style. Only so-so service. Not totally clean. Hated the teddy bear on the bed.

The Hotel is set in a great location next to the river. We had one of the cottages that over looked the river which was fantastic. The cottage was very clean and comfortable also Fully Equipped. we had an evening meal and breakfast The food was delicious. Bathroom Very clean But: The tiling dose need updating maybe fit a Grab rail as the shower is in the bath. The Shelf above sink a little low. Toilet roll holder also too low. This is a fantastic Hotel and Yes i would book again

The Staff were excellent, extremely helpful and thoughtful. A very efficiently run establishment caring to the customers. We would definitely recommend it. 1.The small room, but it was our choice to move as the top room in Manor, though much more attractive was too much for my husband's legs as he is 80! 2. Lumpy pillows.

Everything. good friendly staff, very good service, delicious food (had pigeon on the first night, mussels on the second) in appropriate portions (not a little fancy thing in the middle of the plate) and very nice room. there is a lounge to relax after dinner if you don't want to stay in the bar area. the location is really really good too. there was a little incident with the fire alarm going off in the corridor and us not having hot water afterwards. the personnel tried to get it fixed but it was saturday night and we were leaving early Sunday morning so i'm not sure how that got fixed!

The location of the hotel is excellent. The standard of the hotel wasn't great and definitely wasn't worth £100 per night!

The setting, peace and tranquility and nothing was too much trouble for the staff! The food was amazing! We could hear every word the family in the room next door were saying!

Food was good and the location is excellent. The lady in reception was very 'gobby' . The room was so small that there was no room to move when we got out of bed. We had to use the drawer to balance our glasses and the shower ensuite was a joke! It was like a tiny cupboard with no room to turn around.

Lunch, dinner, the beer; the setting. Everything really! We have been many times and the food is fantastic TT Landlord and the local brew were served in perfect condition. (Did not try the CopperDragon.) The Bulgarian was attentive and friendly but all staff were too. The bar customers were friendly and well behaved! Inner front door bangs in the wind and is quite audible in bedroom 5. Can't open the bedroom windows because smokers congregate below by the front door. No wi-fi in the bedroom but we were happy to nerd in the residents' lounge.
