Location and beautiful sunny weather !!. Friendly staff in the bar area.
Stairs could do with a new carpet. One step is very steep and difficult to descend, especially when carrying a suitcase. The TV was on very loud in the room next to us. Breakfast was not up to the high standard that we expected.
Comfortable room and delicious breakfast for a reasonable price, and all in a breathtakingly beautiful location.
great location lovely pub breakfast superb staff very friendly and helpful
Manor house rooms too dated and tired. No air con, rooms extremely hot and uncomfortable. Bed needs replacing, uncomfortable and sqeaks at every move!
Character of hotel inside and out . Friendly staff . Lovely food . Well stocked bar.
location, friendly cosy atmosphere, scenery riverside tranquility, good food and beer
Breakfast - good choice and food.
Restaurant was very busy with constant traffic to the function room which did not make for a very enjoyable or relaxing meal.
The location and the evening meal were excellent, plus the Molton Brown goodies!
The shower was advertised as compact but it was rather too small and the temperature button didn't appear to work! The finish above the sink was very shoddy. The room was quite noisy and the TV couldn't have got any smaller plus the wires were hanging down which looked awful. Think you could employ a few more local staff who maybe understand what "cup" is, plus the bagel at breakfast time was stale
Countryside/riverside location, nice lounge area in pub, great breakfasts available.
The compact room really was tiny with my partner having to climb over me to get to the loo in the night
The food was excellent The staff were very helpful and friendly The room was comfortable and attractive- lovely bathroom
I was woken by early morning hoovering though I concede that we were unlucky to be above that part of the hotel and that it would be difficult to find a quiet time to clean the dining area
Good food and accomodation. Good location in village. Beautiful area.
Would have preferred not to be in an annex down the road. Quite expensive.
LOCATION = VERY RELAXING STAY
NOTHING TO DISLIKE
We stayed in the Manor house, Molten Brown products in bathroom were a special touch. the location was lovely. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. Breakfast brilliant even had locally produced muesli.
location, Dales Way walk, brilliant deal for 1 night, fab food
hearing the water drain away from room upstairs but no big problem
I just loved the view from my room over the moors, the lovely room decorated in an unique traditional style and that touch good quality toiletries which made me feel like in a spa hotel! Will visit it again!
Haven't met that famous ghost of the hotel :)
pillows in bedroom were very very soft and gave no support.Breakfast was cold, but rectified when told about it,staff very apologetic and second breakfast very good.
Stunning setting. Good food Nice atmosphere. Close to peaceful countryside Helpfulness of staff
Food was brilliant Location is beautiful if you like dales walking no better place Staff were very helpful and attentive
We went for a more expensive room, nice but not great
Excellent supper and breakfast request for early breakfast no problem immaculate room and decor
Minor picky points about hospitality tray in room decor looking a little tired in corridors etc
Comfortable Inn with good food and excellent service.
Just spent three of the most pleasant days imaginable in countryside that made me feel like the god Pan skipping through Arcadia. Long river walks then back to sit by the River Wharfe with a perfect pint of real ale. Then off to a warm cosy room for a hot shower and the sleep of a king. Rising then for a magnificent feast of a breakfast that would see us walk to Bolton Abbey and back through Sylvan pastures where sheep safely graze. The whole area is like walking through a Constable painting. We will return soon for the glory that is Autumn.
Everything was perfect for us.
location was great ,walks down by the river , staff , cleanliness throughout and around the grounds .all in all a lovely and enjoyable break , would definitely visit again and recommend to my family and friends
beakfast menu was great but the main meal menu didn't have enough selection . also abit pricey . having to go to main building to collect milk should have something a small cooler in reception of manor house so people stopping in that part can access milk there , wifi only assessable in one part of the building , no tv in residents lounge ,music or entertainment would be nice
The hotel and room were clean and the room was comfortable overall. Hotel was conveniently located for attending a wedding in the village.
It was overpriced for the quality of the accommodation and service- you're paying for Molton Brown shower products rather than good quality rooms. Also we were firmly told we couldn't have early check-in (earliest checki-in is 3pm!) and despite my informing staff we would be at a wedding from 3 and would have to check-in later on, I had 5 missed calls and a voicemail by 7.30pm asking where we were!! Staff at breakfast also had no idea who we were and were very slow to seat us despite my waving our room key to prove we were guests, we ended up being sat in a separate room with another wedding party as they hadn't kept a table for us.
The location. The staff were very friendly
The bedroom was very shaby, dark and dingy. The shower was minute. A large man would not be able to use it. Very bad for the price
After a comfortable nights sleep, we had an excellent breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Loved having a bath for a nice soak! The food was amazing. Had beautiful tender venison with black pudding and red cabbage. Hubby had an equally delicious steak. Cosy bed too. I liked the quaint atmosphere and the staff were helpful and friendly.
