Room was really good size and very clean. Very Quiet. Evening meal was good and well priced Wi Fi didnt work during my stay which was a shame as I wasnt able to do work emails as planned. Didnt like the crambled egg on toast - it had no taste and was like powdered egg?

Lovely surroundings, very tranquil, excellent friendly service. Evening meal was very good, generous portions. Breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel for a long time!!! Would recommend. Bed too short for someone 6'1" but we will stay again and ask for specific rooms with king size bed.

Spotless room all felt like new. Spacious en-suite with roomy shower and bath. The family owners clearly take a pride in their accommodation. Plentiful breakfast served to the table. Countryside location to the north side of Mansfield ideal for visiting Robin Hood Country, Edwinstowe, Rufford Hall, Clumber Park etc

Great place to stay, friendly helpful staff, always happy to go a bit extra for you (they bought us some veggie sausages for our breakfast). Nothing, we will stay here again next time we're in the area.

Excellent service: for example, we were trvelling by bicycle and the staff were really helpful finding somewhere safe to leave the bikes overnight. Excellent food. Spacious clean room. Lovely location. Hot water for bath ran out too soon.

This hotel was situated in a lovely rural area, very quiet and peaceful, such a joy not to have to be kept awake by the noise of main road traffic. Room was amazingly spacious for one person and plenty of tea and coffee supplied, which makes a change from the stingy supplies that other hotels give. Excellent breakfast with table laid out ready and breakfast served by staff to my table rather than the buffet breakfasts most hotels served. Plenty of choice of cereals and cooked breakfast made to order. All in all a very pleasant stay Arriving at the reception there was no member of staff there, had to go and look for a member of staff to check me in,which, after a long day of travelling up from the South ,I felt I should not have had to do. It was the same in the morning when checking out. There really should be someone at reception at all times....first impressions are important in influencing whether or not you return for another stay! Also hot water took a long time to come through when running a bath.

Very warm and comfortable room, the hotel was very clean with friendly staff. Food was excellent. Would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. No wi-fi in Stables bedroom, although I was informed that if you request it when booking, the hotel staff will try their best to accommodate you in the hotel rather than in the annexe.

Good accommodation and located in pleasant surroundings. We stayed for two nights and, while we lacked nothing, we felt there was no warmth or atmosphere. Other than the pleasant receptionist who booked us in, few of the staff spoke to us and we almost felt they were not interested in our presence. Breakfast was adequate but there was no menu and no alternatives were offered.
