Poor telephone reception for mobiles but then again it promotes peace and escape.
Spacious, clean and comfortable bedrooms. The great outdoors is just through the door...lovely to hear woodpeckers in the distance as it's not often heard in London No rush, no stress
Nice large clean room, nice evening meal although our dinner table was placed very near a large noisy group party which spoiled it somewhat. We didn't know 'till the end of the night that the tables at the other end of the room were empty. We should have been placed there without asking.
We loved everything
The staff were amazing and friendly...the location was lovely
Very peaceful out in the countryside with lovely views. Excellent table service at breakfast.
The toilets in both single rooms at times would not flush and water to the sink was on and off
The friendly staff, the relaxed feel and the homeliness about the place
Tranquil environment, excellent staff, good food.
nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very friendly
Very comfortable, great room, great breakfast
All good, comfortable, clean and good food.
Nothing at all, wonderful
A warm welcome to a clean, quiet and well-presented room. Good choice of food and my preferences had been passed to the chef who had a chat with be before making some fabulous gluten-free food!
the chair in the room was very uncomfortable. The interior decoration needs to be improved. There was a desk used as TV stand,it looked like it was just dumped in the room for storage purposes.
Service from a lady who attended to me
reception area need updating to feel more welcoming bed wasn't very comfortable breakfast wasn't very good (very small, sausages not very nice, very soggy hashbrown)
powerful shower countryside location evening meal Alecia Notts
HAVING TO PAY BEFORE YOU GO TO BED SEEMS THEY DON'T TRUST
my friend had a fall in a lodge after getting out of the hot tub. should be anti slip matting
More attention to detail would have made a big difference. Bathroom was quite dirty, lots of dust around the skirting boards. Overall the bathroom was tired and need a bit of TLC. (Room 4) Radiator in the room was on a setting of "volcano heat", couldn't turn it down and as such when the heating was on at 4am we were woken up.
Nice hotel in a lovely location, superb views and felt like you were in the middle of nowhere....lovely..... the lady who was working on the morning of Saturday 6th December promised to buy in vegetarian sausages for us as these are not routinely provided.....and she did.....excellent customer service, well done that lady......
For me the mattress was too firm. Breakfast was served too early, an option of a little later would be better.
On the whole my stay at Red Brick House was very good. Food was well presented and good to eat. The room was also very good, clean and tidy.
The Staff were very helpful. Good at catering for special diets. We really enjoyed our stay.
location near to restaurant booked no. 4 wood street staff at jotel very good when checking in and at bar and at breakfast hotel bedroom a bit in need of facelift but could see they had tried with wardrobe.bathroom updated with separate shower cubicle but had a bath then had to use desperate shower to wash hair overall a break
Bar prices are high, especially minerals and dashes of lime. Will not use the bar on my next visit.
Stayed in annexe no. 9. Very spacious, enjoyed my stay. Food was very tasty and well presented. Great location.
I booked a double room and selected the option of an extra bed in the room too. On arrival we were offered a double room with no extra bed or a twin room -2 single beds. The room was cold The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked every time I moved. The bedding was blankets which felt heavy and were not enough to keep warm (no duvets here) Before starting the 215 mile journey to the Hotel, there were reports of traffic congestion on the route. Whilst booking the room I noticed it said check in 2.30pm to 10.30pm. I called and emailed the Hotel to let them know we may be late due to traffic delays. During the phone call the Hotel initially said check in not possible after 10pm, then they rather reluctantly said someone would probably let us in if we were running a bit late but I should call en-route for confirmation (not vey reassuring), the Hotel effectively said we would be charged in full for the room even if we were delayed due to reasons beyond our control and they would not allow us to check in. Shortly after the phone conversation I received an email from the Hotel saying last check in is 10.30pm, access to the Hotel cannot be gained after this time! I emailed back to say I was worried that we may drive for about 4 1/2 hours and may not be able to check in and therefore have no room to sleep in. I received no reply to that email. I started the journey feeling anxious but fortunately the traffic had mostly cleared up. I don't know who makes the rules/manages this Hotel but in my opinion they should not be in the Hospitality business. I will not be booking a room at this Hotel in future.
Great food Comfortable room All staff friendly & helpful
Spacious rooms, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, Beautiful location.
Room slightly chilly as Autumn hit in October.
I booked 30 minutes before I arrived - everything set up and ready. good breakfast. Beautiful quiet site in countryside - but convenient
