This friendly, relaxing and elegant house is an easy walk from the historic city of Bath and has free off-street parking. Highways Guest House is a charming Victorian town house, built in 1874.

Set on the banks of the River Avon, Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely gardens and stunning views over the countryside surrounding Bath. It is located on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907.

Location particularly for the Bath Half
very central location
no possibility of breakfast
Cleanliness. Apart from 1st receptionist, other staff were pleasant
Unable to shower; grumpy welcome
Cheap compared to the bigger hotels. Central local, was perfect for what we needed. Clean but needs some TLC to bring it back up to standard.
NO DUVET!! Only sheets and an itchy blanket & one (very flat) pillow each. Old, springy mattress. Wobbly toilet and curtain rail.
My room appears to have been the bridal suite with a large double four poster bed. The room and bathroom were very clean. Room servicing and reception staff were very helpful. There was a desk which I used for working on my laptop during the evening,
High cellings and good location
The floor of our room was a bit tilt.
Tiny room with basics provided. Good value for money. Best for short stay.
There was nothing seriously wrong with the room. Just a typical value aaccommodation.
this place is quite simply a dosshouse, only for the homeless.
Very warm room, very good distance from city centre, park nearby.
Very small sink and shower, unusable kettles smallest I seen. No table and chair on my room.
Excellent Location. Room is decent.
Not too sound proof during the evening. But it's generally quite quiet throughout the night.
Again saved us driving home
No parking spaces, not helpful about finding one and had to drive around to find one and when I did it was 25minuite walk away.
This hotel was situated right near to The Rec, ideal for those wanting to stay and watch the rugby. The room was basic but clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
The mattress really needed replacing. It was very uncomfortable. Rooms are very basic but clean and reasonable for the price of the hotel!
Location for central Bath was excellent
Very basic room. Bedding sheets had holes in but we're clean. One small pillow per bed and a rough thin blanket. Cold shower. Towels provide were well worn.
Awfully old bed, no parking available although it was offered. Tiny tv, mouldy bath.
close to town centre easy walking distance to Baths and shops etc.
Everything. Reception staff obviously didn't want to be there!
The location was great. Staff were friendly and helped me carry my suitcase up 2 flights. Room was very clean.
Sadly, very run down from my visit a few years ago! Really been let to deteriorate and the poor staff left to deal with the complaints as owners not on site. Would think it would be best to run it as a hostel rather than a hotel. Still OK for what I paid as my expectations were not high!
The location of the hotel was brilliant just a stone throw away from all the shop pubs and restaurants
It did need some tlc but it won't put me off staying again
Friendly staff and very nice room
everything should be removed from booking . com rather stay at hostel .
When I left the hotel
The hotel. Couldn't provide a drink. Toilet seat hanging off dirty bedroom dirty overall stunk of smoke in reception. They informed me that they were on a nil budget when I complained they should shut their doors as the hotel needs a good clean and refurb they should not be allowed to take decent money off people. No wonder they take the money before you stay as as soon as you experience the room you would not pay!! Absolute waste of money I actually want my money back.
The arrogance and unhelpfulness of the man who booked us in. The state of the room. The plaster falling off the bathroom wall. Mildew on walls and ceiling of bathroom. The room was not cleaned properly. The corridors smelled of cigarette smoke. Uncomfortable bed
The location was brilliant. Room was clean and tidy. Comfy beds.
The noise outside was quite bad and the bar was very poorly stocked. We would ask for a back room next time.
