Located in the heart of Bath, this traditional Georgian town house has many original features and a stylish bar. With modern rooms, it has lovely views across the Parade Gardens towards Bath Abbey.
Score from 653 reviews Good
Set on the banks of the River Avon, Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely gardens and stunning views over the countryside surrounding Bath. It is located on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907.

Pretty central location. That's it!
Shabby reception. Fausty corridors. 2" mattress that meant we didn't get much sleep. Decor really shabby, ripped curtains.
Good quiet location, staff helpful and apologetic about condition of hotel and rooms.
Very shabby, has seen better days and in need of total refurbishment. Unlikely to stay there again.
Position just metres form city centre-
Maintenance - Windows, bathroom light and shower door
as above...everything else...the bed was so awful, every time I moved the springs "twanged"..VERY BAD NIGHT'S SLEEP
Good price Location Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Small room No breakfast included
EXCELLENT LOCATION REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE LOCATION
NO MEAL FACILITIES PARKING IS A LOTTERY THAT CAN BE EXPENSIVE DECOR NEEDS UPDATING
room are big and nice!
Poor parking no breakfast hotel is very down at heal and needs complete makeover overall very substandard
This 'hotel' has the rudest staff & customers we have ever come across. There was nothing good about whatsoever. Awful awful place.
It had damp on ceilings & the carpet was filthy. There was something black on the corner rim of the bath. The toilet overflowed when flushed & staff didnt care about anything. Absolutely horrendous.
Unhelpful staff, insufficient parking for guests, tatty room (carpet loose, ripped curtains, dripping toilet, broken bedside light) and one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I've ever slept on. I even paid extra for a four poster bed. I shall not be returning to this hotel.
Reception area is very nice.
Our room was damp, the carpet was filthy, there was a big gap between the carpet and the wall, the bed is as comfortable as a lead slab! Noisy, t.v didn't work, toilet was filthy as was shower. All in all, overpriced for a terrible nighta sleep.
Easy access to Bath city centre Value for money Free parking during the week
Very dated decor
Location - its the only saving grace of this place. It is in a convenient location which is about a 10 minute walk to the centre of Bath.
Booked a triple bed room as there were 3 of us. Check in was simple and fast. The first hurdle was the stairs, it was never ending right to the top and narrow too. So its a hike with luggage to the top. The room itself had 3 single beds which was nice however the room looked dark and dingy. Bathroom was fairly clean but everything around it was old and dingy looking. There was even some icky looking plant growing on the window sill. The beds...hmmm...lumpy and uncomfortable. All of us started itching when we sat on the bed def due to bed bugs. Was def not a comfortable sleep. We will never book this place ever again.
Location was just a short interesting stroll to cafes, shopping and major tourist sights. Had free car park, but once there you didn't need to use the car. Check in was easy, room pleasant, good hot shower.
Bed was lovely to look at, four poster with trimmings, but mattress was a bit old and lumpy. Even so we slept okay.
They didn't tell me breakfast was included, it was on my invoice but didn't tell me
It was in a good location
It was not that clean, the mattress did not fit the bed, the an suite a was cramped, I even had to put the banister rail back in,
The great location made the poor condition of the beds tolerable
The beds looked like the original from when the building became a hotel in the 1950s. Very uncomfortable with springs very evident when in bed. Huge sag in the bed near the bathroom where people have sat for years!
Location is good
The room was supposed to be superior 4 poster. It was 4 poster but dirty and dingy
Location excellent. Helpful reception staff on second day. Parking useful.
Poor standard of decor, cleanliness and smelled of cigarettes. Unwelcoming reception staff on arrival. Noisy in corridors and deeply uncomfortable mattress. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend.
Everything........car park was tight squeeze ,hotel it's self needed modernising everything looked in need of replacing which
closeness to City centre quiet
General upkeep - eg. walls needed painting
shocking state of repair, felt unfriendly, dirty and smelt of smoke. couldn't wait to leave.
No parking Unfriendly staff No lift Strong smell of cigarettes throughout hotel Needs re-decorating and modernising througout hotel Horrible materess Broken fittings in bathroom Creaking floors Old bed linen
Easy to walk to the city centre, bus and train station and great to get good priced single rooms.
Would have been good to have bed and breakfast rather than room only.
