close to city centre and train station. Quiet area. Close to bus stop for university. being able to leave luggae A bit tired in places - ladies toilets were dirty and cleaning bottles stacked by wash basins made it look untidy. |

This hotel is very well located close to the center and to the rail station. Very friendly staff. The room was vast and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the breakfast was excellent. |

Most staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Decor was fairly outdated, and some television channels had poor reception. Choice of music in reception/lounge could have been better! |

The location is convenient, the front desk staff were helpful and the room was made up each day. Enough light penetrated past the edge of the door to make sleeping difficult. |

The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful so I had a warm welcome which was nice. The staff that were in the restaurant at breakfast were very helpful and came straight over to ask if I needed anything. My room was small but it was a single so I didn't really need to much space. It was really clean and the bathroom was a good size. The shower was lovely I could have stayed in it for ages. |

The staff were good when we said that our room was not up to standard and tried to get us a room that we would stay in. The rooms we were shown where all in need of major renovations in the bathrooms. Yes the rooms and price did not match. The rooms we saw were all in need over a upgrade and bathrooms were all below standard. We stayed in York the night before and the room we had was in better condition and room rate was half the price . When we told them about the price they said becauce it was Bath it was the price that they could charge |

Situated close to city centre. Some car parking. Good value for money. Breakfast was good. Room was hot, noisy air conditioning, but I'm not complaining because it was inexpensive. |

The staff were feindly and willing to please, shame that they have to work in such an old and dirty environment. The hotel was dirty, and needs a decore change as the windows allowed the cold and noise into the room. Definatly not worth paying £99 for a night. The breakfast wasn't fit for animal consumption let alone my kids!! The tv only worked if u stand still!! |

The Redcar Hotel is a lovely quaint hotel in a perfect location. I was a bit dissapointed that the bar closed at midnight, even though we wanted to spend money afterwards. I think you should stipulate this on the website. Also, its very much steered towards the older generations...maybe you could branch out a bit and try to entise the younger ones in. I would recommend this hotel but with the points raised. |

Breakfast was ok. The location was good. The bathroom looked like is was going to fall apart, the beds were very uncomfortable, the windows didn't close, the street noise was loud and the stairs that passed beside the room made for a noisy night. The door also didn't have a secure lock on it. |

The staff were very friendly and the room was very well decorated. Any concerns were addressed promptly and dealt with well. The breakfast options were a little limited for my dietary requirements. |

Very helpful and friendly staff. The purple paint/wallpaper in the rooms! And I did think it was a little bit expensive for the small room, compared to other places we had stayed during our trip. I also thought that breakfast should start at 7am not 8am. |

The Hotel is very convenient for the city. The car parking was a real bonus, The mattress in Room 106 is unsuitable, it is too old, the springs are almost poking through. the breakfast was excellent but there were only 2 tongs/servers to select a variety of hot food - is this safe? Hot breakfast did not include any veggie options - sausages etc? |

Location is good as you are just 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The staff were very polite and helpful and if you need to fill up for the day the buffet breakfast is ideal. Rooms are small, gloomy and not very clean, thick dust on the skirting boards plaster flaking from the walls and a very soft mattress the bathroom something from the seventies. Had we only been staying for one night and nowhere else was available due to the bank holiday weekend we would have .gone some where else. |
