Not much, only the staff. I had driven from the Midlands from a sad occasion of my cousin's funeral to be given a pokey scruffy room on the third floor, with a window a foot square the bed un comfortable. I was given the choice of one other in the basement-no thanks. The next day reception said they could give me one on the first floor, not much better the window the same size as before but this time with sky-lights and this weekend it poured with rain so with the noise of the rain on the glass impossible to sleep. To make a cup of tea I had to go on my knees, the room had a sloping wall the tea arrangement was 6ins from the floor, there was a tiny cupboard with 2 hangers and a broken shelf, no where to put my clothes, I had to leave them in my case on the floor leaving no space to move. This room was next to the fire door and on the Sunday night after 11pm there was banging in and out of this door. I presume by staff up and down the stairs transporting laundry etc etc.this went on for more than 1/2 an hour. The entrance of the hotel was very scruffy I was ashamed to say to my friends where I was staying - on the internet the outside and entrance looked really good. How I was deceived. My weekend stay of shopping, dining and theatre was completely ruined by the standard of this hotel. This is not the fault of the staff. It is of the Proprietor. |

that we able to book in earlier than 2 o'clock the room was very basic and could do with a lot of modernisation |

The staff moved us to a more suitable room for our second night The request for a room with WiFi connection was ignored. The room we had for the first night was woeful - far too small for two people. Quality of food at breakfast was poor. |

With so many hotels open in bath and with thin one being only marginally cheaper than travelodge, I am surprised that the Redcar manages to stay in business. The rooms were run down with cigarette tar stains in the bathroom, the bed head was dusty and the mattress was so worn that I fell off the bed when sitting on it! I would recommend going to other hotels which are in abundance. As a former resident of Bath, |

The hotel was quite adequate if a little cramped for use. The staff were helpful and pleasant while the locatioon was good. Parking presents a problem. |

Excellent location and good value. Great breakfast. Duvets rather than bed linen and blankets would be nicer. |

The position, just off Laura place near Poultney Bridge, ideal for the city centre, staff where very friendly and helpful. The standard of the hotel was poor, run down and in need of total referbishment, could have been cleaner. The car park was so tiny you were always getting blocked in - though staff moved cars for you. |

Not very much-the staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice. The room we stayed in had the central heating pipes running through it so was like an oven-the decor was old and dated-it was painted Purple!!! The bathroom was a 1970 bathroom that had never been updated and the bed had no life left in it at all. The car parking at the hotel was awful too and you could only park on the meters outside for up to two hours at a time so had to keep returning to the car. |

Good size room, comfortable, pleasing on the eye. Very relaxing & friendly. I look forward to a return visit. Bathroom needs attention. Hand hold on bath broken. Wobbly toilet & dripping tap, However clean & this did not spoil our visit. |

Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and ideally placed for excursions into the city, where there are loads of historical, architectural, literary and religious sites to enjoy. I loved it - but have to admit the room was very small and facilities basic. |

Good breakfast. In the room was a comfortable bed; lovely soft pillows; working hairdrier; full length mirror. Newly decorated. Small details need attending to. Poor TV reception and not attended to properly. Bathroom - nowhere for soap in shower or over sink - soap fell through wire cage. Window at ground level did not lock closed or slightly open. One unworkable plug. Very poor lighting and no switch by bed. |
