Only its location
The hotel was very dated. Old brown decor. Very old and uncomfortable matress. No breakfast facility. Poor parking.
Staff rude, no wifi, parking not enough and parked In. Room in disrepair and not clean.
the room was just right size.
Cold wind came from a air conditioner and didn't know how to get rid of them. It was broken and the wind just came from outside.
It was very grotty need complete refurb
Fab location, clean hotel. Rather tired and low on facilities but perfect for a cheap night away.
Worth noting that parking is very tricky -despite website there is no parking at hotel and staff didn't really seem able to advise on a car park :(
Easy walking distance to shops. I like the location .
The wallpaper was hanging off. We couldn't use the kettle as it was burnt inside and smelt.
great location. pretty tidy and clean.
there was a shower gel and shampoo bottle in the bathroom but it was nearly empty when we arrived...we then communicated with the staff but was told that the hotel generally does not provide shower gel and shampoo. we asked him about the use of the empty bottle in the bathroom but he himself seemed do not have any idea about that empty bottle. so be aware of that you may need to bring your shower gel and shampoo if you check in with them.
car park price
no wifi in the bedroom the building and furniture needs some work as it looks very poorly maintained no bedside light. poor lighting in the bedroom bathroom floor is inclined could hear other guests on the upstairs room
The hotel is not as bad as what other reviews said. For us the hotel was fairly decent and very much practical. Location wise, it was excellent.
The room wasn't clean or comfortable. The mattress was stained and was old and a blanket had been put on top of it in an attempt to cover it. The bathroom was mouldy .
Staff are extremely helpful
No lifts! Which was ok for us but may not be for everyone?
nice staff and value for money
really poor wifi
No sound insulation between rooms
Location was good
No milk for tea/coffee, was told by staff that they were not left any..! No breakfast facilities. Bed was 4poster covered in lace..nasty.. Curtains were hanging off, Ok fun bit..the bathroom- mold on wall and ceiling, hair stuck to the tiles and back of the door, paint/paper pealing off, red water stains on tiles at shower end of the bath.. I was very disappointed with the standard It was a "posh"!! hostel I would recommended a travel lodge over this dump.
The location of the hotel is superb only 5 minutes walk from the city centre.
The hotel is in need of a bit of an update as is 'tired'. Not recommended for a romantic weekend but ideal for a short weekend with friends if you just want a place to crash. Clean and comfortable.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and accommodating to requests.
No lift or wifi in hotel,
Bed. Spartan decoration. Entrance wasn't welcoming.
Although the negative reviews, this hotel was rather a nice surprise. It was fairly priced, free parking and because it is located right at the heart of Bath, it was super convenient to go anywhere in the city. The staff was really friendly and supportive, especially one of them, Christian. We would stay again if needed to...
Old fashion facilities.
window, is not far anywhere, can walk to easy.
water not warm..
Excellent location, friendly & helfpul staff (they will always carry a case if you need, which is a very nice touch in a budget hotel), warm, basic but clean and with a kettle in the room - some rooms better than others though.
I have always stayed at RedCar when in Bath and never had such a bad bed. I did complain in the morning, which was of course too late for the team to do anything like give me a duvet to put under the sheet to cover the bare springs! A big shame as all else is fine - other than paper thin walls in some rooms.
The curtains were torn and we were charged £10.00 for parking. When we stayed before we were not asked to pay for parking and it is stated that you have parking
Great location. Average everything else
Convenient location; cheap; clean room
Old & dated; moody staff; smelled old; lots of stairs
