This friendly, relaxing and elegant house is an easy walk from the historic city of Bath and has free off-street parking. Highways Guest House is a charming Victorian town house, built in 1874.
Score from 395 reviews Very good
On the banks of the Avon River, Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely gardens and stunning views of the countryside surrounding Bath. It is on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907.
Score from 1323 reviews Good
In the heart of Bath, this traditional Georgian town house has many original features and a stylish bar. With modern rooms, it has lovely views out over the Parade Gardens towards Bath Abbey.

The staff were very helpful and friendly
Really close to the town
Shower was cold. Not much sound proofing so could hear the couple next door arguing
just the location to the town centre
room was to small, bed was lumpy and uncofortable ,windows would not open as room was to hot ,not enough tea facilites,,the room was not worth the money i paid,,,
Very dated hotel. Everything 50 years old Very dirty. Could feel every single spring in the mattress- when I told the staff he said that people have said the same but management do nothing about it!! Avoid!
Location, and style of bed
Very old and lumpy and thin mattress, and only two very thin pillows. No extra pillows at all when asked for.
Location - 5 minutes walk from the heart of Bath. Staff - Very friendly. Price - £55 a night is difficult to argue with. It was as central as we could have hoped for and really, like the headline says, you get what you pay for in a city-center hotel.
Decor - Extremely run down. Curtains in our room were ripped and fading, wallpaper was torn in places. Bed - Very hard, also seemed to be at a funny angle so your feet were higher than your head, even with two pillows. Car Park - While there is one with bays drawn out, no-one seemed to pay any attention to them and parked all over the place, making it hard to get in and out.
My car was blocked in the car park nightmare!!!
Only its location
The hotel was very dated. Old brown decor. Very old and uncomfortable matress. No breakfast facility. Poor parking.
Staff rude, no wifi, parking not enough and parked In. Room in disrepair and not clean.
Location was great
One member of staff was rude, unhelpful and overcharged for my stay.
Only a 10 minute walk into the center of Bath and very peaceful
in my room one of the curtains were hanging off the curtain rail I didn't bother to complaine was too busy out exploring the city
Close to centre
Furniture, extractor not working, noise from the roof all night, not power to lug next to the TV in the first room without running around the front of the wardrobe so couldn't use that and did work anyway one plugged in. Next room was an improvement but still not value for money. Would have been happier in a youth hostel that the hotel. Still trying to get a least a refund of some kind as we feel mugged. Had to stay at we could find any other accomodiation at that late notice.
the room was just right size.
Cold wind came from a air conditioner and didn't know how to get rid of them. It was broken and the wind just came from outside.
It was very grotty need complete refurb
Fab location, clean hotel. Rather tired and low on facilities but perfect for a cheap night away.
Worth noting that parking is very tricky -despite website there is no parking at hotel and staff didn't really seem able to advise on a car park :(
Easy walking distance to shops. I like the location .
The wallpaper was hanging off. We couldn't use the kettle as it was burnt inside and smelt.
great location. pretty tidy and clean.
there was a shower gel and shampoo bottle in the bathroom but it was nearly empty when we arrived...we then communicated with the staff but was told that the hotel generally does not provide shower gel and shampoo. we asked him about the use of the empty bottle in the bathroom but he himself seemed do not have any idea about that empty bottle. so be aware of that you may need to bring your shower gel and shampoo if you check in with them.
car park price
no wifi in the bedroom the building and furniture needs some work as it looks very poorly maintained no bedside light. poor lighting in the bedroom bathroom floor is inclined could hear other guests on the upstairs room
The hotel is not as bad as what other reviews said. For us the hotel was fairly decent and very much practical. Location wise, it was excellent.
The room wasn't clean or comfortable. The mattress was stained and was old and a blanket had been put on top of it in an attempt to cover it. The bathroom was mouldy .
Staff are extremely helpful
No lifts! Which was ok for us but may not be for everyone?
nice staff and value for money
really poor wifi
