The service was excellent with friendly staff. To be able to park our car at the rear was a great asset. The city (and Roman baths) was only a short distance walk from the hotel. The hotel was quite warm and cosy, with a 4 post bed. Early check-in and breakfast was much appreciated. The only thing which was difficult was the uncomfortable mattress on our bed - it needs to be replaced. A non-slip mat in the bath while showering would enhance safety. Nevertheless, it is an excellent hotel. |

Pleasantly decorated linge & bar & restaurant. Had to let the hot water run for 10 minutes before the water became hot in the bathroom sink & shower. What a waste! Breakfast was buffet style & the cooled breakfast wasn't hot. |

The location was all that was good. No time to walk into Bath town centre. Where to start? No hot water in the shower (and no notion that there should have been from the lady on reception!), £1 for a bag of crisps, the smallest room in the world with a bed squeezed into the corner, no biscuits (I realise that may sound petty but for £85 you should get a custard cream or two!) and possibly the worst breakfast I've ever experienced. |

Staff was nice, close to the city The room quality was rather poor. There was a fungus in the bathroom and the closed window made a noise every time the wind blew through |

The staff were extremely friendly. Its location is central. The hotel itself is old, but it would appear that all hotels in Bath are the same. This adds character to the hotel and city in general. I found the hotel great value for money, especially as it is so central. |

The location is fantastic, the ambience pleasantly old fashioned, our room was a little run down and shabby but the bed was comfortable and for the money I'd re-book again every time. The room was a little shabby and the walls thin, but at £80 for a double I wouldn't expect a great deal more. |

Pleasant small hotel in excellent position, resolutely unmodernised but quite comfortable. Good value for money in an expensive city. |

Lovely people and downstairs was lovely and well decorated, breakfast was delicious. The Bathroom was really shabby, there was an awful buzzing all night in our room it was torture!! but the room was badly decorated and floor tiles in Bathroom were all cracked....It could be amazing with an overhaul! |

its proximity to Bath City centre It was dirty and run down. The en-suite floor tiles were loose, not grouted and dirty. The parking is a nightmare. An unpleasant experience. |

Hello! The reception staff were extremely polite and helpful, I had failed (even with Police help) to find a nearby parking space. I arrived during very bad weather, and although your Car Park was full, the kind receptionist made it possible for me to park in your Car Park somehow! - Greatly appreciated. |

I liked the location and the staff were helpful and friendly and parking is useful. Decoration was shabby, it was too hot, shower/bath leaked, wardrobe door broken, mattress very old and uncomfortable. |

The hotel was in the ideal location for exploring Bath - approx 5 mins walk and you were at the Roman Baths / centre of town - great value for money. The breakfast was lovely and you could help yourself to as much as you wanted. |
