The location is fantastic, the ambience pleasantly old fashioned, our room was a little run down and shabby but the bed was comfortable and for the money I'd re-book again every time. The room was a little shabby and the walls thin, but at £80 for a double I wouldn't expect a great deal more. |

Pleasant small hotel in excellent position, resolutely unmodernised but quite comfortable. Good value for money in an expensive city. |

its proximity to Bath City centre It was dirty and run down. The en-suite floor tiles were loose, not grouted and dirty. The parking is a nightmare. An unpleasant experience. |

Hello! The reception staff were extremely polite and helpful, I had failed (even with Police help) to find a nearby parking space. I arrived during very bad weather, and although your Car Park was full, the kind receptionist made it possible for me to park in your Car Park somehow! - Greatly appreciated. |

I liked the location and the staff were helpful and friendly and parking is useful. Decoration was shabby, it was too hot, shower/bath leaked, wardrobe door broken, mattress very old and uncomfortable. |

The hotel was in the ideal location for exploring Bath - approx 5 mins walk and you were at the Roman Baths / centre of town - great value for money. The breakfast was lovely and you could help yourself to as much as you wanted. |

The hotel is in desperate need of a refurb or at the lease cosmetic improvements. I did not particularly care for the hotel and will not be rushing back. In no way would I consider it value for money, in face I believe I was over charged for the experiance. |

Not much, only the staff. I had driven from the Midlands from a sad occasion of my cousin's funeral to be given a pokey scruffy room on the third floor, with a window a foot square the bed un comfortable. I was given the choice of one other in the basement-no thanks. The next day reception said they could give me one on the first floor, not much better the window the same size as before but this time with sky-lights and this weekend it poured with rain so with the noise of the rain on the glass impossible to sleep. To make a cup of tea I had to go on my knees, the room had a sloping wall the tea arrangement was 6ins from the floor, there was a tiny cupboard with 2 hangers and a broken shelf, no where to put my clothes, I had to leave them in my case on the floor leaving no space to move. This room was next to the fire door and on the Sunday night after 11pm there was banging in and out of this door. I presume by staff up and down the stairs transporting laundry etc etc.this went on for more than 1/2 an hour. The entrance of the hotel was very scruffy I was ashamed to say to my friends where I was staying - on the internet the outside and entrance looked really good. How I was deceived. My weekend stay of shopping, dining and theatre was completely ruined by the standard of this hotel. This is not the fault of the staff. It is of the Proprietor. |

The staff moved us to a more suitable room for our second night The request for a room with WiFi connection was ignored. The room we had for the first night was woeful - far too small for two people. Quality of food at breakfast was poor. |

With so many hotels open in bath and with thin one being only marginally cheaper than travelodge, I am surprised that the Redcar manages to stay in business. The rooms were run down with cigarette tar stains in the bathroom, the bed head was dusty and the mattress was so worn that I fell off the bed when sitting on it! I would recommend going to other hotels which are in abundance. As a former resident of Bath, |
