Very comfortable bed. Good facilities but noisy. Seemed that room 1 was adjacent to a generator and noisy collection of empties in morning. (Fri). I would however use Red Cow again.
The room was clean, room facilities were excellent and it's in a fantastic location.
Room, cleanliness, great value for £40 per night.
I liked the trad pub, the bar staff, the other customers. The bed was very comfortable. The security arrangements were good. Servicing the bedroom was first class and regret not leaving a 'tip' for the nice girl.
The lack of the relatively new "craft" pale ales particularly from California and Scotland. Difficult to open the No1 bedroom window for fresh air at night. Never did work out how to operate the standard lamp in No 1.
Excellent location, nice and clean, room was very nicely decorated and felt cosy. Electric fan was a welcome touch; fridge was very useful and included some breakfast. Wifi worked fine. Good shower. Bed very comfortable.
Could have done with a bit more artificial light in the room (only two lamps, which even when turned on and up together were still a little dim). As it's above a pub it could be a bit noisy at night; probably not enough to stop most people sleeping, but worth noting if you're particularly bothered by noise.
Location, nice size rooms, clean
Did not bother me, some may say a little noisy because on a busy street corner and above a pub
Lovely old pub with clean rooms, not too cramped by London standards. Facilities exactly as advertised. Staff were friendly and the location was good set a little outside Richmond town centre and a tube ride of half an hour or so from London city.
Take your ear plugs as noise from pub and street is very loud, there is no sound proofing at all. Particular surprise to travelers is the noise made by metal kegs of beer being delivered at 6am the morning. The road runs along side the pub - literally as there is no pavement so there is a lot of traffic noise.
Location was suitable for my visit.
Parking fine..which was kindly refunded on hotel bill.
Handy having breakfast provided in the little fridge. Bed was comfortable and big, as was the room (although my friend's room was quite a bit smaller). Overall, excellent value for money.
On a busy road so if the windows are open then the traffic could be a problem for light sleepers.
We liked everything about the Red Cow. Great bed, great location and excellent atmospher
Friendly greeting, no fuss. Staff were helpful with directions to the trains & Richmond. VERY comfortable bed, nice simple room, nice pub below. Clean and tidy. Didn't hear a sound from other guests. Would highly recommend The Red Cow.
Its a pub
Very hot, no A/C, noisy until well after closing time, very noisy traffic, otherwise fine
The berkfast was in the fridge in the room so when we left we did not have to check out as we paid when we checked in.
There was nothing to dislike.
Very accomkodating and friendly staff.
Price, facilities, size of room.
The food served was excellent.
Room was very hot and would benefit from the installation of air conditioning.
Closeness to transport in all directions. Possible to walk to Richmond Park but bus at the door. There is a great cafe (Nano Cafe) just opposite where you can get a nice breakfast. They have vegemite. Also a pizza shop with the best pizzas. Staff at Red Cow very friendly and helpful. Clean crisp, sheets and big fluffy towels. We had a good time.
Cigarette smoke coming through the window late in the evening.
Lovely clean modern rooms. Lovely area close to river .
Can't fault it . But if you are a light sleeper be aware u are on top of a pub.
Close to Richmond station. Comfortable room with good facilities.
Room rather hot and opening windows resulted in noise and cigarette smoke from downstairs bar coming in room. Information in room indicated food served until 9:40 pm on Thursday, but when went down at 9:20 pm I was informed the chef had left early.
Very comfortable and clean room
Noisy. Would have bothered me if I had wanted to sleep early but I had to work until late.
Beautiful room, great staff, lovely location, very reasonable price.
Excellent staff, good location, facilities good
Could do with air con.
Great staff. Well laid out. Good continental breakfast.
Nothing comes to mind.
For the price, it is great value. Good location, clean room, friendly stuff. Breakfast is DIY in the room, basic but sufficient, with option of a coffee shop opposite the pub.
I had a tiny room, more like a cupboard, there was no place for the suitcase, and no chair which would not be a problem if the breakfast was not a DIY one in the room. However my mother had a large and comfortable room. The main issue was the noise, very loud from the pub until it closes (1am) and then from the neighbouring rooms in the morning. The road is pretty busy too which means windows must stay shut.
